So I used to dye my hair a lot and bleach it too. I realize now how stupid it was to do so. I have brown hair but im naturally blonde and trying to grow it back out. Does anyone know anything that helps it grow fast?

Also since I did all that damage my hair is kind of dry and damaged. Anyone know any good tricks to repair hair naturally? So far ive heard olive oil, coconut oil, and avocado. But I have only used olive oil so far and no luck so I plan to use the other too. Anything better I could do?

You are probably doing what you can - eating raw will help more than most things, but in the mean time a good haircut will help a lot. The more of the damaged hair you can part with, the better... Hair will not regenerate... it's "dead" so anything you do is just a band-aid.

If while growing you you want to help blend the roots somewhat - there are some good temporary color products that will help tone the light hair. Visit a beauty supply and you will find what you need.

you can use the conditioner only method... this makes hair really soft. Instead of shampoo, use a light conditioner to wash the hair and scalp. Make sure it is free of silicones, phosphates, and proteins, as these can build up on the hair and scalp, making the hair feel drier. I used to use the whole foods brand citrus conditioner. It really does remove scalp oils and makes the hair clean... plus the benefit of not having dry hair and humidity frizzies and static

hey, my hair grows quickly from dying it... it's probaly the bleach making your hair grow slow, but i can't say for sure... however, i heard bentonite clay detoxifies many posions from system... including pulls out all the color dye posions in scalp. i'm letting my hair grow out natural and quit dying it a few months ago. next hair cut it's all my natural.
but i'm wondering if this may help you out... get rid of the toxins first, you know.
i bought some... i haven't used it yet because it requires no eating of cheese for over a week and eating healthy and plenty of water. i'm not 100% raw. and i moved a couple weeks ago and no bath tub... it's messy stuff and best to do in summer in a portable kids pool. check it up online. i bought enough to do a few baths already. not only claims to rid the dyes in head... you have to apply it on your scalp and read it's hard to get out... multiply shampoos.... but apply over body rids metals etc.

I take MSM and Biotin supplements and they have drastically improved my hair strength and it's growing fast. I typically have fine thin hair that takes forever to grow.

I have crazy thick hair, and my friend died it the wrong color once. I went to the salon the next day to have it lightened, and it just totally destroyed my hair. Within a week, it started breaking and was soooo dry. I ended up getting as much cut off as I could tolerate, and then using Redken Allsoft (I actually still use it). There's something about that shampoo that just makes my hair look & feel amazing. I know it's probably not popular in this lifestyle to use products like that, but it's the only thing that tames my crazy hair, so I'll continue using it. If you're looking for an all natural solution, I've not found any that work well for me, but it looks like there were some other suggestions before mine that you could try. :-)

Coconut oil-- a little on your hands and tub it thorugh your hair the night before you ake a shower or if you have itme, a few hours before. Not a lot, maybejust rub it on your hands like if you were rubbing lotion in, not handfuls of oil on your hair. Then, just wash normally and you will hear a thousand comments about how shiny and healthy your hair looks.

FYI- I also put some cinnamon mango oil on my hands and rub it through my hair in the AM. Smells good all day

You should tru no-poo - my hair is so much healthier since I ditched shampoo and conditioner. I wash with baking soda/water mixture and condition with apple cider vinegar/water mixture and my hair has never been healthier.

add fresh juices to ur diet if u havent already . these have improved my very very horribly fried hair !!! i juice , a slice or two of beet , carrots , orange , grapefruit, apple , and one clove of garlic per 58 oz jug . this does wonders for my hair , my immune system and it is helping with fat blasting as well , so many benifits to this wonderful juice . i drink one 16 oz glass a day . good luck .

Put some olive oil in the ponytail area of your hair. The ponytail area is the area thats like...well when you put your hair in a ponytail its the part that'd be hanging down. You know what I mean. Anyways, put it in your hair, wrap your hair in a towel, and leave in for about 15-30 minutes. This will make your hair really shiny, which is great, BUT it will also protect your hair and keep it healthier, so it'll grow faster!

Hi!

Your hair is an extension of your health so you have to treat it not only superficially but from the inside as well! Eat healthy and exercise as well as using some pure and natural products. Some products that worked for me (I got an unwanted pixie cut because I lost a lot of hair after my little one was born and it was suddenly very dry too) were Sea Essence shampoo from Morrocco Method and their Pearl Essence creme rinse. It left my hair feeling super conditioned! As far as for growing my hair out, I used a lot of their Euro Organic Oil and cut my hair every three months (just the tiniest trim) according to a lunar chart- it shows the best days to cut your hair to grow it long or grow it thicker, etc. Here is the link... https://morroccomethod.com/lunar-hair-chart

Some people think that's hokey, but it has worked for me. I have long and healthy hair in under a year :)

Good luck!

I have to chime in on what pemaom is saying and back her up. Morrocco Method is all natural and SO good. It smells like heaven on earth! Another thing about Morrocco Method is they are connected to the Raw Diet culture and veganism. Their products are made from vegan-friendly and naturally processed ingredients. I am new to the Raw movement but I see a big difference changing my lifestyle and using healthcare products and beauty products from a place that is living it too...it just gives me a great feeling of satisfaction!

I agree with you too and forgot to mention about their Raw side. I was on a raw diet for a year before I went back to a more omnivorous me (as far as food went) and it served as a great detox for my body and soul :) It also brought attention to things beyond food- beauty products, cleaning products, lifestyle products such as candles and toys etc etc that if bought without awareness could result in chemically-laden, toxic things entering your home and possibly your body. I'm not exclusively raw or vegan anymore, but I do eat a lot of raw foods and although I do eat animal products, I only eat those that are consciously grown (as in I go as far as ordering from a small farm in philadelphia to ship to me). But that is how important it is, I feel, to pay attention to what you put in your body is. :)

I used to take biotin as well when my hair was fried, i took it 3 times a day and my hair grew a lot faster. I prefer not to use supplements so I don't take it anymore but i know my hair would be quite a bit longer if i did!
