Yeyy! You will love NYC!

Definitely go to Pure Food and Wine on Irving Place in the Gramercy area. It's by far my favorite restaurant - they also have a juice and take away place around the corner on 17th street.

Also, the Union Square market is right nearby so you can pick up some fresh local produce, however they don't have any prepared raw foods. There is a market in SF that is huge and has a lot of prepared raw food stands (definitely don't miss that - I think that they are only there on Saturdays, but I am not too sure since I only visited SF for one week). Cafe Gratitude in SF is supposed to be amazing and I am bummed that I didn't get a chance to go there -next time.

For a quick bite in NYC, you can head over to Bonobo near Madison Square Park (18 E 23rd Street). Caravan of Dreams (405 E 6th St) also has a raw menu and Quintessence (263 E 10th St) is all raw (I haven't been there but I heard it's good).

If you are with non-raw friends that want some fancy vegan food, you can go to Candle 79 (79th St. and Lexington) - they have some raw items on their menu and their chef is very accomodating. I had the live enchiladas - delicious!

Cocoa V (www.cocoav.com) is great for vegan chocolate and wine. Also, both Lula's Sweet Apothecary (www.lulassweetapothecary.com) and Stogo (www.stogonyc.com) have awesome vegan ice cream. I've never heard of mast brothers chocolate.

If you walk around anywhere in NY, I am sure that you will find great places to go out. Rooftop bars are popular in the summer - here is a link to some of the most popular ones - http://nymag.com/nightlife/barbuzz/11025/
