So I only drink filtered water with occasional bottles is absolutly necessary, I carry a tin bottle around filled with watr (32 oz) but that only lasts me about half the day. I don't want to carry aound two bottles when I'm out and about for the day :/ any suggestion of what I could do so I don't have to resort to bottled water?

You can buy a bottle with a built in filter and then you can use it to filter any tap water as you need it.

Thats true i thought of that before but the problem would be having to spend money buying a filter for it i saw one at my sisters work and yu have to replace it every 2 months and have to get them online but i guess i could buy in bulk to save some money. But then again it would save money because im not using my other filter to fill up my water bottle every day. Do you know how well they work? I dont wanna get it if it does filter water well, id prob be usuing tap water from my school and would it filter the bad stuff out of bottled water if i poured it into that bottle?

It really isn't much more than tap water, may even be worse. And plastic Isn't really good to store water in like that because of the chemicals and such. It's just bad for the environment anyways! :(

I like the idea of a bottle with a filter built in! I don't have a car, so I walk everywhere, and it's a pain sometimes to carry water with me. I end up trying to hit up water fountains when I can! I think I might look into these filtering bottles myself! Hopefully they are available other than just online!

Ooh! There's a GNC at the mall here (within walking distance, hooray!); I'll have to check it out.

Anyone else have experience with filtering-water bottles?

would it filter the bad stuff out of bottled water if i poured it into that bottle?

obviously it would... hence the point of using the filter.

but... question... why would you buy a plastic bottle of water and pour it into a filter unit? why not just use tap water when you are out and save the environment from that plastic bottle?

i tell people all the time... NOT purchasing the item/using the item is better than recycling any day!

That's so true. The slogan 'Reduce, Re-use, Recycle' is in that particular order for a reason!

Aleesha, many town use CHLORAMINE (Mix of Amoniac and Chlore). No filter unless it is indicated that it cans get ride of that. It is very difficult to filter and so toxic. I buy the giant water bottle that says spring water or a good source of true spring water. And i filter it again, i most time just oxygen it and pour it in my two giant glass jar that i bought from Costco. I also use dr. Emoto words to purify the water (Thank you, health, harmony, abundance, joy, love, happiness etc....). Our water taste so good, and i have a stainless water bottle that i use to fill up and i bring it to work. It i travel i buy water bottle and bless it.

I looooove Dr. Emoto!!!

Thanks for sharing why you would use bottled water and a filter. I'm blessed... I live in a small town with well water.
