hello,

my name is Monika. i'm 32 years old. i'm from Mississippi, but moved to Texas back in 2007. i just wanted to stop eating to much meat and just be healthier. so i started looking at vegetarian videos on youtube, and i was lead to raw food videos. i then joined a hair forum and they have a section on Natural living so i got into the raw food discussions there. after that i just started to look for raw food forums, and i found this board. :)

i have hypothyroidism, high blood pressure, and high cholestrol. i'm not just starting my new lifestyle though. i started in December of last year. somethin' like that LOL. i'm not sure. my memory is a little foggy. :(

i feel really good. i exercise, and eat as much raw food as i can. i have lost a good amount of weight ( i don't weigh myself so i don't know how much i weigh). i'm just lovin' it! :)

Hi, Monika! Welcome to the forum!

That's funny that you got into talking about raw foods in a hair forum! Just goes to show, I think, that the movement is spreading! Becoming more mainstream! Yay! So, did you learn anything neat about having healthy hair?

LOL ummmm, yeah i learned somethings, but that's not really my focus anymore. i just want to be healthy. i wanted to learn about taking care of my curly hair, but now i'm not meh! i just want to learn how to eat healthy. i am a recovering bulimic too. so i am just focused on changing my views on food.

i've learned sooooo much about what food really is. it's not that fast food. it's organic spinach!!!! :throwhearts:
