Some of the new Greenstar Elites were manufactured with a mis-aligned safety button and safety cover, causing the machine to not power on. Greenstar is replacing the cover, no problem, but just wanted to let you know if anyone is considering dropping the cash for one. You may want to have them check this problem before delivery. I was VERY dissappointed with a fridge full of expensive organic produce ready to juice!

But, the service is good and all is well.

Happy Spring and Happy Juicing!!!!

yeah i think i have that one. you just rock the cover a little bit and it powers on. good to know that they have a "fixed" cover, but i probably won't bother replacing mine.

The one I have has to be fiddled around with forever and then held really tight with my arm around the machine to hold it in just the right place and even then it will kick off a hundred times while juicing. Very frustrating. I sure hope my replacement machine is manufactured correctly.

It does make fabulous juice!

Ugh. My replacement Greenstar Elite from the manufacturer is not as bad as the one I sent back, but still keeps shutting off during juicing....the safety button/safety lid are just not aligned properly. Not too happy given I dropped 600 clams on this machine. And really don't want the hassle of continued returns. Now I wish I had gone with the Super Angel.

UPDATE: the fix is simple on this new machine, the replacement, by adjusting the back panel of the safety cover. Not so sure that would have worked on my first one as it was very much out of alignment.

I do love this juicer.

Just wanted to make sure someone who is getting ready to drop 600 bucks is well informed.
