I'd surmise any time -- the amount of nutrition going into a green smoothie is incredible.

You can always vary how heavy or light of a meal it is with your ingredients. For more of a meal replacement, you can add some healthy oils or ground seeds or nuts (coconut, sesame, flaxseed, hempseed, etc.), richer, tropical fruits (mango, banana), tons of greens, or use a richer nutmilk as your base. For a lighter meal/snack, maybe a banana, some berries, with a handful of light greens (spinach, lettuce) and some coconut water.

I'm not a doctor, but any sort of muscle-cramping condition can always be helped by a diet with adequate electrolytes/minerals, e.g. potassium, calcium, magnesium, salt, which need to be replaced daily, as they're excreted in the urine and sweat. If you're participating in an exercise regimen, pregnant, taking a diuretic, or experiencing muscle cramps (be them leg cramps or PMS cramps), it's *that* much more important to keep an eye on.

I like to start the day with a big green smoothie. Also, I would think bananas and pineapple would be good for cramping and muscle spasms, but I'm no expert just my thoughts.

Good luck on going raw, you will find tons of help and info here.

Oh, btw, under the recipes section there is a stickie that has 70 smoothie recipes.
