Hey Everyone,

So. My story and how I came about to showing up here.

I've been a vegetarian for about seven years with the intent of going raw since the beginning. Due to certain elements in my life I haven't made the transition. Over the past year I've been putting a lot more raw food into my diet after the events that happened last night I'm ready to go 100% raw.

Last night I was invited over to my friends house to have dinner with him and his girlfriend. This guy is a very good cook and he made fajitas. Being a vegetarian I didn't have any of the meat but I did have everything else on it, which included A LOT of dairy. As a vegetarian I had very little dairy in my diet but last night I piled it on.

When I got home I started getting stomach cramps, the shivers, and generally whiny. My cats were wondering what was going on. Well, I threw up. Not a little bit but a lot a bit. After hugging the toilet for about thirty minutes I decided that since I have no one in my life dictating how I'm going to eat that I am going to take the step into raw veganism.

This isn't something that I'm jumping into without knowledge. I've read up on it for sometime now and after last night feel prepared to do it.

Wish me luck!

its amazing how our bodies react after we have been eating well for so long when we GROW UP with all that crap food.. I think its like the bodies way of saying 'wth do you think youre doing?" I know I cannot eat any sugary stuff or ANYTHING fatty at all now or my stomach revolts horribly. My family and friends often say things like "oh just one wont hurt you" Holy cow yes it will! Good luck with your new goals and hello!

Welcome!

It's so exciting when we start listening to our bodies, when we correlate 'dis-ease' with the not-good-for-us foods we'd been eating! I'm so happy you found a point where you've now turned the table to the raw world!

(Sometimes all it takes is a little in-depth conversation with the toilet bowl! ;) )

Congrats on making the commitment. You can do it.

You're cute what you wrote about your cats, lol.

And it's not that gross to write about what our bodies are doing. It's important to be aware of our bodies and what's going on with them!!

Congrats again and keep us posted. Get a Vitamix or Blendtec!!! Bye
