I am a 45 year old ex competitive bodybuilder who was hooked into the high protein diet and stupid way of eating that never DID make sense to me. I have been juicing and making smoothies for over a year now and have moved more and more into the raw food way of eating. I love the way I feel when I eat like this and have not lost any strength or muscle that so many people said I would if I switched to this type of eating. My allergies have cleared up, my chronic bladder infections are non existent and my arthritis is much much better. I LOVE your website! I have much exploring to do still but just wanted to say hello and start by putting my foot out there a little and dippin my toes in. :)

I appreciate any new information I can get my hands on. Spent last night and this morning trying some of the green smoothies and also printed them out so I can go shopping tonight for some new ingredients. I love adding mint to my smoothies- honestly never thought of it as I have been sticking to very basic stuff. Again- Thank you for any new info and your help. :)

Hi there!
I look forward to hearing more about your raw journey, as a gal who's interested in (light) bodybuilding myself. Do you still keep up an exercise regime for maintenance?
Welcome to the forum!

Thank you so much for writing. Yes I still train religiously and do the cardio I need to keep myself fit. I have never lifted heavy weights and am a survivor of degenerative disc disease. I had re constructive surgery on my back 10 years ago and started training for survival basically. I also have hip displasya.. Genetics suck huh. Thank you again for the nice welcome.. :) :heart:heart:heart
