View Full Version : Raw, without a blender

A few weeks ago, my blender burnt out. It was a real cheapie blender designed to be used once a week, so I didn't cry over it or anything!
So I just wanted to say that it is not such a big deal to stay on raw without one if you have to. Basically, everything that used to go into a smoothie, just gets eaten whole, easy as!
I made a decision that I will not by another el cheapo blender, even if it means to wait months, I want a vitamix! But, here in Australia, an entry level vitamix costs about $850 on a special! I don't get it?
Anyway, I got a 4 year old vitamix on ebay and it was sent today so I can't wait! A big thanks to those who were sharing on another thread,:throwhearts: about vitamix blenders that have lasted 20 plus years, it really did put my mind at ease about buying a second hand one! :cheer:

Awesome Jeannie!! Thanks for sharing! And seriously, 4 years old = brand new in the world of VitaMixes! I had a 30-year-old VM a few years ago which only died (finally!) after using it HARD core with cheeses and for raw food classes!

P.S. CONGRATS on your new "baby"!
