Hi guys! I am new and I will admit I don't know very much about raw food at all (except that it's healthy! lol!)

I have just lost over 40 pounds and now that I am getting towards my weight goals I want to start being better to by body rather than just pushing it around!

But I don't think I'm ready to commit to a full raw diet overnight, especially since I know so little about it. I've been browsing some of the threads and I noticed that some people mention that they are like 50% or 75% raw or something? Does this mean you eat all raw but then drink a glass of milk or meat now and then, or does it mean something else...? I figure just because I'm eating fairly freely, doesn't mean that I can't also replace some of the crap with raw food!

Someone please enlighten me :)

Hi new friend!

After a lot of experimenting, I'm grateful to find a system that really works for me. But since this is a raw board, I'm gonna abstain from discussing anything different from the goal of the board.

This is a raw vegan forum... so we don't discuss eating meat, drinking milk etc.

We can assist you with the raw portion of your diet but not the non-raw portion. The focus of this forum is to support and assist people who are following Alissa Cohen's philosophy of raw live foods.

Feel free to read our posting guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18) here.

As for what percentage people are here... pretty much everyone is high raw or 100% raw. It's what we believe in... and we believe in it because our bodies have responded sooooo significantly to raw live foods.

It heals, it cures, it removes obstacles... it relieves, it stimulates and it creates.

It's soooo much more than just food! It's a lifestyle.

Unfortunate and inappropriate censorship........
