:heartHi I am new. I just started this week, I did well for two day and then blew it. I feel bad. Sunday and Monday I was all raw and tuesday and wednesday I ate at McD's with family. Last night I didn't go to bed till 4a, I couldn't sleep but now I need moviated to get back to raw and thought I better go on the web site. I have both of Alissa's books, she is great. I have a vitamix, dehydertor and spiral slicer, I am ready. I need to loose weight, about 70 lbs. I lost 13 in the last two weeks with hcg, bad choice and then going raw. I imagine my weight will be up tomorrow, but that's ok, I can do this. My lips cracked and some blisters so I decided to eat the other foods. But as I am reading others posts I can see it isn't just me, I tried raw a few days before and the same thing happened. I am going to start Oxycising soon, I need to watch my exercise, I busted my arm a yr and a half ago and took out the radial head, it is titanium now and I can't do any strength training or any weight bearing on that arm so it makes it a little challenging. Well that is all for now, it is great to meet everyone and I can wait to work with you all, have a great day!

Hi ! Welcome.

Many feel (as do I) that it is best to "ease" into raw, rather than going full-tilt all at once. No doubt, others have different opinions though.

I think you have less of a detox and less cravings etc. Maybe? rather than trying to go all raw, and then feeling badly you slipped up, maybe eat better quality cooked stuff (rather than McDonald's!), and gradually add more and more raw.

I kind of like the idea of substituting one meal a day with a generous green smoothie at first....

Good luck,

Mary Kay
