Zuri and I have embarked on a 30 Day Juice feast as of March 1st. We plan on staying as active as possible - at least 4 out of 7 days a week. We will post our daily exercise here along with our juices. We plan of weightlifting, walking, running, doing Yoga, Pilates and light stretches on those tough days . :situp:

Exercise:

20 min walk during lunch break
1hr of Kundalini Yoga (PM)
20 mins of Pilates Ab workout:situp:(PM)

Juices:

Beet/Beet Greens/Apple/Celery/Orange/Kale with Ginger & Jalapeņo X2
Fasting Tea & Moon Cycle Tea (Ab workout helped the pain)
Orange Juice
Orange Beet/Chard/Celery/Apple



------------------Day#2------------------------

Exercise: Today is a busy day and I have a lecture to attend from 5-10pm.

40 mins of Yoga (AM)
10 mins of Pilates Ab workout:situp:(AM)

Juices:

Beet Greens/Apple/Celery/Orange/Chards with Ginger & Jalapeņo X2
Fasting Tea & Moon Cycle Tea
Pineapple Juice X2
Celery/Apple/Kale

Energy has been really high these past two days. I have been able to clean and stay up pretty late. Feeling great! :woohoo:

OMG It was amazing. :drool: They had oranges on sale at WF this weekend. They needed to be juiced ASAP so that is probably why. LOL!

I loooooved doing my 90 minutes of yoga a day when I fasted. I can't afford to go to the classes at the moment... but hope to return at some point.

Today I did Stretch X 1 hour.. I'm going to go have some carrot/celery juice with barley greens.

Later will be a green lemonade or some pineapple/cucumber juice....

:throwhearts: YAY!!! I may have to try your and Aleesha's "Green Lemonade" juice recipe tonight. With 5hrs of sleep, feasting and sitting through a 5hr lecture I will need it! LOL

I am so excited that you are both doing this thread! This is just what I need! I have a question for you both what kind of juicer do you have? Because my juicer I must drink the juice right away, I can't not take the juice with me. But if I had to take a juice with me I can run it thru my vita mix with a nut mylk bag. Thanks for doing this thread!!

Hey Good People!

Becky, I have an Omega 8005 chrome juicer. http://www.nutritionlifestyles.com/omega8005small.jpg and I LOVE IT! It comes with all these handy attachments to make other things I won't mention here. :D There are many other great ones, but orginally I got the Omega so I could juice wheatgrass with ease. Welcome!

Alright, well, I didn't go to the gym yesterday, I was super duper busy but guess what? I'm going today! So, later I'll post my work out and juices. The workout I had on Tues. left me feeling pretty amazing with just a little soreness, which is interesting. I do feel though, when working out and you have to use energy to do that, it takes away from detoxification.

I can feel that my body is making the decision to switch, so to speak, from detoxification to the work out. How much I don't know. This to me is when it would be fantastic to do yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Qi, Reiki and other energy modalities. Now, I have no idea yet what working out means for the long haul for me. I do know I'll be continuing to muscle condition. My thought is, just drink more juice like those that juice feast. They work out plenty. Anyway, I'm thinking out loud here.

Cathy, the lemonade was really good. I usually use all those ingredients in my green juice but not so much celery and lemon. I didn't have that much celery last night so I couldn't add as much but... It DID help me stay up until midnight. :dance: I will be keeping that recipe handy.

Hiiiiiiiii Bechyh! I have the same fantastic juicer that Zuri describes above. We use it about 3-4 times daily and have made so many things in there. It is so versatile! We love it!

Goooo Zuri! I'm so happy you're feeling good! Right there with you on going to the gym tonight. Hey, maybe I'll go into the sauna for 15mins or so? I have a couple of Qi Gong videos to go through.... Awesome idea! Please share with us what you will do. :hug


I am planning on taking a 30min walk during my lunch break and going to the gym tonight for weightlifting. I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want Coconut Water... :drool:"I will find you, dear coconut water deliciousness. I will FIND you tonight"

Good Morning all....

I just sent my hubby to get me 2 cases of coconuts :excited:

I did Kenpo X... 1 hour this morning. I drank lots of water and then afterwards I had almost a qt. of carrot/celery juice with barley green.

I feel good right now...

Later I'll have some green lemonade and then tonight its tomato/veggie juice!!

I use a Champion juicer. I've used it for over 10 years and it works really well. I can't do wheat grass with it, but I don't really drink wheat grass and so thats not an issue for me :trampoline:

I look forward to seeing what everyone else is doing...

Good....Today I ordered 2 cases of organic Thai coconuts! Can't wait to pick them up, which won't be until Saturday probably.

Yup, I got my Omega for the wheatgrass and don't drink it now, lol.

I use it my Omega for wheat grass a lot. Just took a shot of it yesterday, actually. Just gotta feed it slowly.

Well I had a great workout and juices today! The workout I did today resembles the last one I posted. Here they are:


pineapple and apple juice

green drink w/baby bok choy, curly green leaf lettuce, celery and apple juice

orange apple juice

Exercise: warmed up by walking on treadmill for 15 minutes, full body weights, crunches, stretched then went into the sauna for about 1/2 hour

Feeling good, feeling GREAT! :dance:

Exercise:

30 min walk during lunch break
Weightlifting (Pull ups, Dips, DB Rows, BB Curls, DB Flyes, sit ups holding 10lbs, Leg Extensions, Lunges & Squats) I went a little lighter than I usually would and it felt pretty good. Two sloooooow sets of 10 for each exercise. Then, 1hr :meditating:in the sauna. That was my 1st real time in the sauna and I LOVED it! So relaxing. (PM)

Juices:

Orange/Grapefruit
Mustard Greens/Kale/Celery/Beet/Ginger/apple/jalapeņo
and finally... COCONUT water :excited:. I had it before the gym and it really got me going.



---------------------Day#4 -------------
Exercise:

30 min walk during lunch break
Yoga (PM)
Pilates Ab Workout (PM)

Juices:

Mustard Greens/Kale/Bok Choy/Celery/Ginger/apple/jalapeņo X2
Orange/Grapefruit
Green lemonade (hanging out with nephews/nieces tonight - need extra boost!) LOL!
Coconut water

Happy Day, Ladies! I am feeling GREEEEAT today! Not sore at all, with lots of energy and so light and aware. The begining to this feast has been really wonderful. My plan was to do water on the weekends... Maybe I'll just do coconut water? It is going to hard to have all those delicious coconuts starring at me. Playing it by ear. We shall see.

Good Morning Ladies....

I was up at 4:00 a.m. this morning. I'm not usually up that earlier, but I just went with the flow. I'll probably go to bed early tonight :rolleyes:

Today.. Cardio X I felt a little "weak" but not too bad. I'm thinking of having more juice before my work outs. I always do some, but I might up it. I'm also thinking of adding a little date water (I'll blend some dates with water and then strain out the dates). We'll see..

I'm having some carrot/celery juice with barley green, and for later I have green lemonade and pineapple/cucumber/apple with coconut water.

Morning all! I'd LOVE love love to drink juice before the gym when I go in the evening, but I don't because I don't want to be up during the night going to the bathroom. Hmmm, I guess I'll play that by ear too. :) I usually just end up drinking a bit of water.

I won't be able to exercise today so I'm back at it tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see how this goes when I do more lengthy cardio. I'll listen to my body. They have this TRX class at my gym. I'm thinking of doing that. I LOVE muscle conditining and will probably up that to 3xs a week.....I shall seeeeee! Next week I may start running a bit and see how that goes.

I made my own variation of "lemonade" today with kale, lemons, pineapple, cucs and apple (golden). I also made some orange apple juice (red delicious) and more pineapple juice! YUMMOOOOO! I've had my lemon water upon waking. It's already a beautiful day!

Yesterday was the first day of this feast where I woke up at 4:30am to go to the gym in the morning. I like weightlifting in the evening and then going into the sauna. I felt really exhausted and crashed by 6pm last night and ended up going to bed pretty early. I will give it another shot next week and see how it goes. While walking my doggie yesterday, I slipped and fell on a sheet of ice. :LOL: My booty is pretty sore. Today I feel GREAT after all that sleep! So rested and wonderful! Happy movin'!

After the Yoga class/Sauna on Tuesday I felt great. Not so much the next day though. LOL! My right leg was in pain and all my joints and hip were aching. I decided to take the day off and just relax. :dance:

Today my leg is back to normal. I will attempt to walk on the treadmill and see how that goes. If I feel okay - Yoga tonight and weightlifting tomorrow morning.

Exercise: REST
Juices:

Beet Greens/Apple/Celery/Dandelion Greens with Ginger & Jalapeņo X3
Fasting Tea
Grapefruit/Orange
The most delicious juice I've had up to date: Blood orange, blueberries, green apple. :drool:

Day#10 - OFF had to take the day off to rest. My Right leg needed it. :wuv
Day#11- 40min walk
Day#12 & 13 - Busy weekend - all off
Day#14- 30min walk during lunch + Weightlifting + Sauna

Can't remember all the juices but my appetite has decreased significantly. I am drinking lots of coconut water, orange/tangerine/grapefruit juice along with a mixture of green juices daily. I tried a tomato juice last night which was delicious but my tummy was NOT having the garlic. Still very good though. :woohoo:

Yesterday was actually day#15 for my feast. I broke my fast. :dance: I got so much out of it and truly enjoyed staying active most of the time. Listening to my body and going along with it. I did get wonderful results and muscle definition. :woohoo: Very happy with the experience and results. It can be done!
