Possibly girl-only-friendly post.
I had 2 days of spotting before my period. Two days of nothing. My usual period. 2 days of nothing. 3 more days of bleeding. 2 days of nothing. Bled again the next day.
Took a pregnancy test, got NO... YAY!
But that only makes me worried about other possibilities. I know one's period changes throughout life, and that I've been exercising a lot more lately than I ever used to.
Any thoughts on what this weird pattern might be?

I think we could help you guess a little better if you gave us some more info like what you have been eating, how long, and if you have been on a chemical birth control but recently got off it... :)

Hey sweetheart, here's a well-meaning cliche for you!
Trust the process!

Has anything else in your life changed.
Has anything like this happened before.
As you progress on raw you should bleed less and not more.
You took a pregnancy test so you must be open to the possibility of pregnancy. Any chance that you had a quick miss before you realised it (but that one is doubtful)

Has anything else in your life changed.
Are you under any stress?
Are you getting enough restful sleep?
Have you added/taken away from your normal eating pattern?
The spotting before your period points to something happening during your lutel(sp) phase where progesterone is the prominent hormone.

Major stress at work, and planning a wedding.
Turing 28 this year.
History of very painful periods, even when on chemical birth control.
Have been off chemical birth control for 3 years.
Been eating a high raw but not 100% raw diet.
Nothing like this has ever happened before.
I don't get enough sleep ever.
I think that covers it...

You can get false negatives on a pregnancy test, but not a false positive. Unless it's a blood test - always do multiple tests, spread out over a week or two.

There are other reasons for it as well, but celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and/or wheat allegy are known to cause coagulopathy or the upset in the ability for blood to clot. This could cause leakage. Are you bruising more lately? Any rashes that resemble bruises? Irregular or heavy periods or increased vaginal bleeding could be signs of coagulopathy.
I hope I didn't offend or embarrass by sticking my male nose in here. I have seen coagulopathy in a family member. It is not known by her doctors why she suffers it but I am highly suspect of the wheat issue as I have issues with wheat in other ways, and it is often genetic or familial. Trying to convince some doctors about the dangers of wheat is like pulling hens teeth, and so she still suffers.
