Hi everyone,
It has been a little while since I have posted and am in need of help. I have a healthy diet but am not 100% raw, although I eat many raw foods because I know of the health benefits.
My mom on the other hand, is not so healthy. They have found 3 spots in her breasts and are right now checking to see if they are cancer. Anyway - even if it is not, she is ALWAYS tired and seems depressed. I need a site and/or paper that will help convince her that she needs to start looking at eating a healthier diet. Any paper, site or anything that is very convincing and gives good facts/evidence.
I have tried my hardest to convince her but she needs to see evidence - she is a very smart woman and I LOVE her dearly - I would very much appreciate any help with this.
Thank you for any support!

Ask her to look at all the before and after stories / photos on this website. She could also check out the liferegenerator channel on youtube, especially the trucker guy's story. If she uses anti perspirant with aluminium in it I'd get her to stop. Also she could try using chlorella and wheat grass juice to chelate out any toxic metals such as aluminium which are in her body...my grandma smoked until she was sixty, after sixty she had bowel cancer removed and also one breast. She lived until she was 97 and even then only died as she fell over and hurt her neck and decided to pretty much just stop eating. All she ever ate for breakfast was fresh fruit.

There is a movie called Crazy Sexy Cancer that may help her. There is a lot of info on it on the web.

Also, a call to somewhere like Hippocrates would be well worth it. You can book a call with Dr. Brian Clement a few weeks in advance, costs about $150 for 45 mins but well worth every cent. I know from experience/
This isn't so much a case of 'raw will heal you' per se, as much as it is a question of CLEANSING THE LIVER, and it so happens that, yes, in addition to a number of useful liver cleansing herbs, raw vegetable juices and grass juices are excellent for the purpose of cleansing the liver.
Growths, cysts, tumours etc. in the soft tissues of the body are often closely related to liver congestion and/or toxicity. I'm not saying this relationship is always the case 100% of the time, but it is very common and deep cleansing of the liver (which may also involve purging of intra-hepatic stones - see Moritz's 'The Amazing Liver & Gallbladder Flush') often has a beneficial effect on such soft tissue abnormalities. I would recommend you seek the firsthand advice of a professional naturopath on this matter but that's the basic premise of it. Cleanse the colon, cleanse for parasites, and cleanse the liver.
I also recommend you read DocSutter's eBook (docsutter.com) as he has been assisting terminally-ill patients to regain their vitality, for over a decade. He lays out the order of cleansing exceptionally clearly and succinctly, with a minimum of dogma and no B$.
On the herbs and spices side of things, Milk Thistle, Bupleurum, Picrorhiza kurroa, Fringe Tree, Dandelion Root, Globe Artichoke, Turmeric, and others are all good for encouraging liver cleansing.
On the food side of things, Carrot Juice, Beetroot Juice, Wheatgrass Juice (freshly-extracted, NOT frozen or powdered) and even coffee enemas (a la Gerson) are all excellent liver cleansing agents.
Now having said all of the above, and having noted the common relationship between abnormalities of various soft tissues of the body and poor liver functioning, it is an interesting further correlation to see your remark that your mum is "ALWAYS tired and seems depressed". Well, guess what? It is very well known that tiredness and lethargy (as well as poor memory and clouded mental functioning) are a common symptom associated with liver congestion!
Many naturopathy books discuss this last correlation - off the top of my head, I can immediately recall 2 such books - Pizzorno's 'Total Wellness' and Golan's 'Optimal Wellness'.
In summary, rather than trying to pitch to your mum that she needs to 'go raw' in order to address her potential health issues, it would be more constructive to acquire a few books, including those I've mentioned in this post, that describe in detail the relationship between compromised liver function and abnormalities of soft tissues of the body, and the relationship between compromised liver function and lethargy and cloudy mental functioning etc. In gaining a deeper understanding of these things, she will undoubtedly learn the relevance of raw foods (particularly the aforementioned juices) in assisting the liver cleansing process. It's also worth checking out the Gerson online videos (I think they started charging a nominal $5 fee for the bandwidth). These clearly describe basic liver cleansing processes such as the raw vegetable juices, the coffee enemas, and also contain interviews with various recovering cancer patients.
I wish you and your mum the best of health.

she needs to see evidence
The first thing she needs to do is get rid of her need to see evidence. The second thing she needs to do is take care of her cancer.
Being smart is not the same thing as being wise. If she "needs" scientific materialism to go on a diet, then she will only repeat whatever it was that caused her to get cancer to begin with. Health is not a matter of physics. Body/mind/spirit are all connected. You cannot ignore the mind and spirit in favor of the body. It doesn't work that way.
I forgot to add, in my above post, that one should check the oral environment for possible sources of toxicity - root canals, abscesses, mercury fillings etc can all continually stress the liver and the immune system and contribute to more severe issues in the long term.

ask mom to go to the hippocrates health institute web site...I went there with lung cancer...built my immune system with wheat grass and green drinks, raw food diet and lots of encouragement and love...I detoxed, and was ready to do chemo/radiation...which I did without a day of trouble...my body was fighting...and it won...
I went back after I was finished..to detox again...and I stay pretty much raw now....
So much is diet...we are what we eat...and so many with illness that drs have said cant be cured....are being stopped...maybe not all cures, but remission is good...stable is great..and NED is even better...
Mom...listen to the kids...they're smart..up to date..and want the best for you....
