View Full Version : March 2011 Smoothie Feasting Thread

I needed to start this, because I was going to do the March Raw Challenge, but someone posted raw dehydrated goodies in that thread. I want to focus on consuming smoothies, and I don't need any delicious looking dehydrated looking goodies to make me crave chewable foods.

I forgot if smoothie feasting can be on the fasting board or not due to the drink having fiber in them, but I need a safe haven some place on this board.

Tomorrow on March 1st, I will be Smoothie feasting as a form of weightloss as I try to get from a size 20 to a size 18 by April 1st. And if I can get to a size 16 that would be even more awesome.

had a banana, orange and peach smoothie with coconut oil, green powder and raw protein powders.

Good for you!! :cheer: I'm fairly new to the raw food thing..I was considering doing a juice feast but I think I will hold off. Smoothie feast seems much more feasible but again, I'm not quite there. I'll post my drink intakes along with u though! Are you trying to solely smoothie feast or are you juicing as well..?

Today's juice:

2 apples
2 celery
3 carrots
1/4 cucumber
3 green lettuce leaves
1 piece of ginger
..served with lots of ice

Today's smoothie:

1/2 date
1 Banana
2 green lettuce leaves
1.5 cup water

of course a green smoothie fast/feast can be on the fasting board. you are welcome to come post in the fasting thread for march (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=64039)as well... cause honey... YOU are fasting!!!

I need the fiber or I will feel hungry. Plus, I add coconut oil to keep me from feeling hungry, which I love the medical fact that coconut oil speeds up the metabolism to aid weightloss. I do 2 to 3 tablespoon a day in my smoothies.

Okay, I forgot if it mattered if the fiber was in it or not to determine if it should be in the juice fast or not.

Okay, then I might join the regular fast board to get more emotional support in numbers.

you can always post in both threads... but i seldom check the other fasting threads. i figure if someone wants my two cents they'll come to the thread i'm always in LOL

i have soooo many threads to read daily as it is... it would be nice to have enough time for all of them... but alas... i don't.
