I haven't been on the board in over 1 month, but I finally lost some weight on RAw. My body was slowly losing inches where I finally lost a pants/dress size.

The only thing I can say I added to my diet that I haven't in Raw years past is I put hemp seed, chia seed, maca powder, red/purple antioxidant powder (from dark colored fruits and veggies) and green powder (spirulina, alfalfa, blue green algae) in my diet. Oh, I am now adding coconut oil in my smoothies about two tablespoons a day.

So something in that list above told my body to shed the pounds finally. I don't know what.

So I am a size 20 from a size 22. Now I am focusing on being a size 18 at the end of the month.

Since the weather is getting warmer, I will be trying to run/walk since I did join a 5K race at the end of April, so I have 8 weeks to prepare for that.

Yaay, go you! :excited:

It's funny, I did the same when I added some coconut oil into my diet ages back. I lost weight even more so than what I was losing before.

Good luck with your goal!

Well, I am going to keep up using coconut oil then, because something did it. And quite frankly, coconut oil is the newest thing I have added to my diet.

I found it really odd that coconut would make me lose weight, but when I talked to people about it I found that many others believed a small amount of coocnut oil helped them to lose weight, and in fact it suposedly has substances in it that help speed up our metabolism.

Don't go nuts on it (though some would say even this is ok for weight loss) but enjoy it!

Isn't it wonderful getting positive results! :woohoo:

I didn't know that about coconut oil! I have been adding some very occasionally to my green smoothies but now maybe I'll step it up.

Do young Thai coconuts have the same effect? I make smoothies with the water/pulp sometimes, too.

Yeah,

I am so happy for you. Your body probably took the time to repair the organs and inside tissus all of that time.

Congratulations!
