Hello.
My mother's friend's mom has esophagus cancer. They have given her 5 months to live. I really want to purpose a dietary plan for her, but honestly I don't know much about which raw- plan has the most cancer success. Gerson therapy? Just raw? Anything specific that is especially helpful? I know that alkalinity is particularily important, what about fruit? Or would a vegetable juice/green juice cleanse be more helpful? Hmmm
Also I am wondering how to purpose it to her. I am thinking of gathering a lot of information, and then finding a lot of stories of personal triumph and giving them to her to look over so that she can decide whether or not she would like to try this. I'd really like to help her, and if I don't at least try then I will feel a bit guilty for not offering the ideas. I understand also that it is not my responsibility... (I have heard stories of people trying to force others on a diet for cancer and that person ends up cheating, so I won't be forcing her or pressurizing her of course but rather offering some very helpful advice and my personal assistance if she would like it!!)

If it were me who HAD cancer, I'd go to Gerson. As far as others go? Well, all you can do is ask her if she's open to hearing about alternatives. If not...

Thanks for you opinion Revvell
I will do just that! I will simply ask her if she is open to hearing about alternatives that I have heard good things about. If she is not then of course that is her choice.

If it was me I'd start each morning gargling fresh wheatgrass juice, then I'd wash it down with some chlorella powder disolved in water...also some lemon juice in water with honey would be good.

Lunch could be a green smoothie with some additions such as mineral rich dulse and perhaps some other cancer fighting super foods. Then dinner could be a vege juice with carrots and beets in it. Also perhaps a couple of brazil nuts each day for the selenium but there is plenty of that in the chlorella.

More importantly though the person needs to cut out all foods/liquids that support cancer such as refined sugars, bad fats, white flour, alcohol, caffine, tea etc.

You could also put her on a colonics program.

Overall this will hopefully alkalise your friends system and will give her a fighting chance. At the very least I'd just get her to drink some powdered mixed greens like spirulina, chlorella and wheat grass which are easy just to mix in water. Then perhaps have one or two vege juices a day.

Hope she goes ok...

just an addition, she could also try a daily shoulder stand which is a yoga pose good for the throat chakra but if that is too difficult she could just put her legs up against a wall with a pillow under the hips and her back on the ground. These two poses will bring fresh blood to the throat...

Show her http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ip-VkRgHkM

and THEN ask her if she's open to learning more. ..he has a few videos up even more recent.

my point is, show the success and then ask her if she wants to know more, she'll be more likely to say yes.

Good luck! :)

Sorry about your friend. I don't know what diet specifically within raw might be best but I can share that my mom's best friend was diagnosed with cancer and given three months to live by three doctors. She went on a raw diet and ended up living nearly three years. Best of luck.
