I am new to this site, and a recent convert to raw food. The recipes on this site are great.
My next purchase is to buy an Excalibar dehydrator. Bcause I live alone,I thought a four tray would be suitable, or maybe I need a larger one??
I have done a search on the internet, and am not sure where to purchase this from. I live in Surrey BC Canada.
Any recommendations / help would be greatly appreciated.

9-tray with or w/out timer.

Few years ago I was contemplating the same thing...
Fast forward to now, I have 3 of the 9-tray dehydrators :)

Three nine-tray dehydrators! Wow! Do you have stuff going on in all of them at the same time sometimes?
I have a nine-tray one myself (just one, though! ;)) and wouldn't want anything smaller. Sometimes I need more room in there, such as I must make more space in between each tray, depending what I'm 'cooking'. And it's nice to make a gigantic batch of kale chips all at once.

I would consider a TSM SS dehydrator. They have a reasonably priced 5 tray unit. I purchased mine online from Amazon.com.

Go right of way with the 9-trays. You will need the space. Sometime, your food is high and you can only insert a couple trays.

you might want to consider the Tribest Sedona 9 tray dehydrator. it is very new so there isn't much feedback about it yet but the build quality at least is superior to excalibur. excalibur is of course tried and true.
