View Full Version : Name for site to sell my recipe book?

I wrote a raw recipe book that I sell only on ebay, I didn't want to make a website until I saw how it sold on eBay first.

So far I sold probably about 150-200 copies in 2-3 years with no advertising (other than it being on ebay and my signature link here).

I want to make a website not only to increase sales of the book, but also provide a forum for people to share health information and recipes. I would also like to write occasional articles/newsletters (maybe only once every 1-4 weeks depending on the time I have).

Does anyone have any ideas for an available website name?

I'm thinking things like:
HonestHealthInfo.com
HonestRawHealth.com
RawHonestHealth.com

All those are available, which do you prefer or better yet do you have a better idea for a name?

Thanks

I think any of those are good. Just keep in mind that if you use the ones with 'raw' in it, that might limit you to only speaking about raw. And if you use the one without 'raw' in it, you'll have more leeway as to your topics if you want to talk about other things than raw. Just off the top of my head!

Good luck!

I'd personally develop multiple sites, each one "speaking" to a different audience.

I prefer to start with one to keep the costs lower but may make more later on. What sort of different audiences are you thinking about?

The idea of not having raw in the title is also a good thing to consider.

Perhaps...

General "vegan"
General "healthy"
General "raw"
Specific "raw weight gain recipes"

... the more "nichy" you get, the more conversions :)

It doesn't cost a thing to create websites using open source software. It's all FREE!

Creating it is free, but domain names cost about $5-10/year plus the hosting cost.

I have had websites for years.

Do you think this would be a good template (I'm HORRIBLE at making web designs so I prefer to use a template)?

Hosting shouldn't cost more than $15/month, and you get a fab suite of services. Try hostgator dot com

The first template was definitely the best.

Keep your URL simple and memorable. There are hundreds of dime-a-dozen raw websites filled with horrible ads and horrible info. Your URL can make or break your credibility with a web surfer right off the bat.

I already have a host for other websites that's $8/month, in fact I just switched because after years of good service my last $5/month host started to be unreliable and slow. Hostgator looked good but I need a Windows based host since I make my websites in ASP which only runs on Windows.

What about TrulyHealthy.com?

I think I prefer not to have the word raw in the name to maybe avoid scaring away people.

Woops, for some reason that name is $3600/year instead of the regular $10/year.

I would go with a simpler name.

If you want to stick to the word, you can try RawHealthInfo.com (If you put honest, you could send a different message that you intended too. Such why you are more honest then anyone else. What do you mean by "Honest Info" compare to other site)

About what you write what you think about your book will give to other. Don't get caught up with one word and let your intuition guide you.

What do you want to sell from this book (informations/messages etc....)

I like the color of your site, it is very energetic and rejuvenating. It gives a warm impression.

It looks great

Yeah, I know. I was talking about creating a website via open source. Funny you know this yet you say
Woops, for some reason that name is $3600/year instead of the regular $10/year. The reason being, someone owns it and that's what they're selling it for. (for those who don't know)

In case you've not noticed, I have a few meself.

The book has information about health, the health care system, and raw food recipes.

I also don't have a site yet so I'm not sure what website you say you like the colors of, perhaps you're referring to one of the templates I posted which I may use but that isn't my site it's just a template.

Thanks
