I hope this doesn't seem gross but since the pulp is the fiber of the juice, would it be ok to just put it back in the juice and drink it??

You can do whatever you want with it yet, my question is, why don't you just blend it? Why juice then blend?

I don't know. I've read about juicing not blending, sheesh. Now I need to know about blending my veggies. I'm so confused :weird

Honestly, it does sound gross. :) I also think it would be very hard/strange to drink. I wouldn't worry about the fiber being taken out of the juice as long as you are eating veggies, too.

Alternatively, you could blend up the veggies in green smoothies, etc. You will probably need a powerful blender if you want to blend veggies other than spinach, chard, etc. I do blend kale in my regular blender but if I use too much of it, I get little kale bits that can be kind of gross.

Here is what I do...
My awesome husband makes a juice each morning. Too much work for me, but since he is making it I gladly drink it.
Then later in the day, I have a big smoothie with fruit, veggies and almond milk all blended in the vitamix. This way I am sure to get my fiber and all the good nutrients!

I make soup out of my pulp. Add water to reconstitute it, blend it up, and add flavour (since all the flavour is in the juice because the pulp is just fibre) in the form of avocado, diced tomatoes/peppers/cucumber, cashews, and whatever else strikes my fancy.

What do you usually juice?

Thanks for the great blending ideas...

As for soup.... I am very new to this, I don't even know where to begin.

GG... I just started juicing this week. I have experimented with broccoli, parsley, kale, celery, spinach, carrots and apple... ginger as well. I'm interested in wheat grass too!

My favourite soup goes something like this:

a couple of carrots
half an avocado (or a whole one if you like)
a clove of garlic
pinch of salt
small piece of turmeric (or turmeric powder if you can't find the fresh stuff)
a pinch of ground cumin seeds
1 large tomato

Blend till creamy!

Sounds very yummy!! But I'm to blend it? Even the carrots?

If you have a really good blender like the vitamix, it can blend anything, no problem. That's why it's so good for green smoothies - blends the greens right up, not leaving any little bits behind. Sounds like you're having fun juicing! It's so much fun to experiment with different veggies etc. and see how they taste! One of my favourites is my green caesar:

-a couple of tomatoes
-3 stalks celery
-a handful of spinach
-2 field cucumbers

My boyfriend loves it! And makes a great base for soup later on! ;)

Yes I am having a great time experimenting :heart

Thanx for the recipe.... I am not a tomato person but once it juiced... who knows!!

I will try my regular blender. It's a pretty strong one, so we'll see.

I juice with my husband a few days a week to be social. I then put the juice with the pulp (not all of it) in my blender and make smoothies. Today we juiced oranges and grapefruit. I added spirulina and it was delicious!

Hmm, yes if you don't have a great blender you might want to chop the carrots up a little. I don't have a vitamix or a blendtec, but my blender is great and blends carrots to a creamy consistency. :)

pulp is excellent in crackers or mixed with a nut butter to form a pate of sorts to put in a collard or nori wrap:eat

Ok, I did it... I took some of the pulp from juicing and stirred it in my juice and drank it.... not too shabby :eat
