funny you should post this as I was looking up Chia seeds also last night. I throw some in my green smoothies...I think I'll start to use Chia instead of the flax seed as they have many great properties if not more than the flax which I'm sure a lot of never break down and make it into your system. Also the chia is a lot smaller so less surface area means it is more likely to be completely digested.

Thanks for the website. :) I already knew chia was good for you, now I know they are even better than I thought. Funny, I ordered some yesterday and they'll be here tomorrow. I'm going to make sure to start using them right away.:throwhearts:

Great info! I make a batch of gel every week and use that in my smoothies, etc...more easily digested when hydrated that way...I use that and flax both.

I absolutely love Alissa's Chia pudding (in her new book). I add raisins, green and red apples sometime pears and LOTS of cinnamon!

Thank you so much for sharing. Chia seeds are something that I have yet to try. I really had no idea about them, and this has sparked my interest. Lots of info here.

I liked this paragraph..."Not only do chia seeds give you a boost of energy that lasts, they also provide stamina and endurance. A single tablespoon could sustain Aztec warriors for an entire day."

Very cool.
