Will fasting slow down metabolism?

I'm thinking about fasting for 7days. I've done this before and felt great but my neighbor(a person trainer) told me that fasting will cause my metabolism to slow down. Is that true?

of course it will. but if you want it to remain higher... add cayenne to your juices and exercise.
