Okay, I have been mostly raw for about 2 months, but on Saturday mornings my family always gets together and has a big breakfast, eggs from my chickens, freshly milled whole wheat bread, things like that. I figure the breakfast is still healthier then most, so I will indulge this one day a week at my family's breakfast. Well this week the breakfast really filled me up and I was still not hungry hours later, very unusual for me. I had to go somewhere so I made a green smoothie so I wouldn't get hungry while I was out. I noticed I felt a bit bloated. I was in the store with my 3 kids when I ran into a friend/acquaintance, we talked a bit and then she said " I didn't know you were expecting again":weird:sad: Well that would be because I'M NOT!!
Yep, what do you say to that!? I still feel bloated and it is 2 days later, and still look bloated or pregnant to some. Evil SAD food!!!

That is horrible! :( Sorry for the discomfort that must have brought.
I actually carry all my extra weight in my mid section. It's extremely frustrating to bloat so easily...I feel your pain.
Glad you can be light hearted about it though! ;)

I had this the other day, oh you poor thing pregnant again and you already have six kids. I just looked her straight in the eye and said I am not pregnant, I am FAT. To which she blushed and got flustered.

Now that I am separated, people have finally stopped asking me about when the "next baby" is going to happen. I don't know if it's because I look pg or because of the ages of my kiddoes. They're now 15, 13, 11, 7, 5, & 3.

Thanks everyone, boy did I learn a good lesson. Family breakfast good, but not worth 3 days of bloating!
Kaleboy-- you'll be happy to know the SAD baby belly was delivered this morning and weighted a whopping 5 lbs!! Yep, that's right I had a really good um..err..movement this morning weight before 113 weight after 108. Yikes!! Is that even normal?

That's really unfortunate, but honestly I think the person who asked if you were pregnant committed a far worse sin than the SAD food. You never bring pregnancy up to a woman unless you are SURE she is indeed pregnant.
I have been known to not comment on women who are 9 months pregnant just in case they have some rare condition that makes them blow up in the stomach and not anywhere else. :)

This made me laugh out loud! Oh, a little bluntness can go a long way!
Yes, I've had the bloating thing too, but not when I'm eating really well, with proper food combining and abstaining from all dairy and grains. Although now I sometimes eat so much fruit in one sitting (I sure can pack that away!) that I end up with a little 'fruit belly' that disappears within an hour.
And I agree, I never comment on someone's apparent pregnancy unless I'm absolutely sure she is in fact pregnant! :D

Three table spoons of raw soaked oatmeal with a dash of wheat bran and a green drink is how I fix that problem quickest ;)
Green drink:
2 cups kale
1 cup cabbage
2 stalks celery
Blend with 1 to 2 cups water then strain, or juice (can add water to juice to dilute the taste) YUM!!! =)
