Hi! I've been making a lot of green smoothies, but I've only used spinach, and I know I should mix it up a bit. I'm concerned, though, about adding greens that are too strong. The spinach I don't really taste at all, and I put quite a bit in each smoothie. So... any other greens that are mild like that? Thank you!

I have used kale, and that seems pretty mild to me. I also just used some red lettuce, that seemed mild also.

thanks for the ideas. I only have romaine in the fridge right now, but my local store has lots of good looking lacinto kale. Bought three bunches yesterday, but I already made it all into cheesy kale chips! So... back to the store! Thank you!

Parsley has a delicious unique flavor, but as a green it is mild.

Bok choy is also similar to spinach in a smoothie.

Oh well, if you're going to be planting, put some stevia in. It is delicorice in a smoothie, as fresh leaf.

I think you'd like mizuna mustard green also. When I grew it in the midwest it was fairly mild, maybe a little hotter grown in Fl over the winter. I like the flavor much better than broadleaf ones. I took a pic of some for you but it's not loading off my card to computer.

I also don't find kale mild in a smoothies. Romaine/lettuce is Ok, though you can still definately taste it. How about trying lesser known very mild greens like corn salad/lambs lettuce or purslane? they are really easy to grow yourself

funny about the purslane... i have it all over my yard as a "weed," but realized a couple years ago it's a popular wild edible (same with lambs quarters & chickweed). I didn't really care for the purslane as a green in salads (something about the texture), but I bet it would be good to throw into smoothies! Thanks for all the great ideas!
