Hi All!
Ive been struggling alot with getting up for my 6am yoga practice...I'm someone who comes back to this board alot on my journey.... experimenting, falling off...the addition to various foods, sweets, coffee, cheese, is overpowering. But my mother has just been dianosed with breast cancer (shes a vegan) and I want to be more proactive about my health and nutrition. I'm thinking, if anyone can promise me Ill have the energy to get up for my 6 am yoga or 6am spin class, that would be an AWESOME kick in the butt for me!

I don't think anyone can make that kind of promise to you. I have been raw since November and I still have trouble getting up at 5:15am to do my workout, but I get up because I know that this is what I need to do to make myself better.

Some tips that people have given me on this board was to sleep in your workout clothes, so all you have to do is get up. Make sure that you are getting a full 8 hrs. of sleep, drink plenty of water this will help with giving you energy. Before you go to bed at night tell your self that you are going to get up and you are going to go to yoga or spinning because this is what you need to help you become a healthier person. Also if you miss one day don't beat yourself up over it, it takes 28 days for something to become a habit.

Another thing that works for me and my husband is we keep our body on the same schedule all the time. Meaning we never go to bed past 10pm, no matter what, and we ALWAYS get up at the same time every morning. Even if we are vacation, on the weekends, or what ever. I go to bed every night between 9:30-10:00am, I am up everyday at 5:30. This has helped me to get up and do the exercise that I need to do. I hope that this helps you!!

And just know that there is someone else getting up earlier then you to workout!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!:cheer:
