I am looking for a very creamy (not chunky at all), butternut squash soup. Any suggestions? I adored this cooked and hope I can find something very similar.

Hum, I know truthseeker has a marvelous looking pumpkin soup, and to make it truly creamy, I would use almond milkd and a Vita Mix, so at least you have a start.
I have no idea what goes into squash soup, or else, I would hazard a guess for you.

Autumn, here is a recipe for "Yellow Yum Soup"
Yellow Yum Soup
1/2 cup pine nuts
1 butternut squash
1/2 avocado
1/2 persimmon
a date or two
pure water
Soak the pinenuts at least overnight. A day is better. Rinse thoroughly in pure water. Skin and deseed the squash. Ditto the avocado. De-pit the dates. Place it all in a blender. Add pure water until you get the right consistency. This is a rich and sweet, but not too sweet. Add celtic sea salt and black pepper to taste. You can also add a little cayenne to make it hot if you want.

Thanks to both of you. I will start tinkering. I've been craving this for a couple of days now. :D

Also, try butternut squash, mango, orange juice, salt/pepper processed in a food processor. You can add a clove of garlic if you want. Top with freshly minced mint leaves and jalapeno! This is delicious.
Blessings.

I actually made my pumpkin soup from a Butternut squash soup recipe I had by just changing a few things....but here's the Butternut squash soup reciepe :
1 sweet potato peeled
1 butternut squash peeled and cut into pieces small enough to fit in a blender or vitamix
3 nectarines with skin or 2 peaches skin peeled
few cashews (optional)
nut butter of choice preferably pecan (not sure how much I'm going to say about 1 to 2...2 1/2 tablespoons)
vanilla 1 teaspoon
add hot water to desired consistency
1/2 to 1 cup agava (to taste)
1 avocado
Blend and enjoy!

Truthseeker, I'm not sure what agava is. Do you mean agave nectar? Or is it something else?

Copy and paste, copy and paste.....those all sound soooo yummy! I get all my squashes confused...and Walmart doesn't help with the confusion (they may actually add to it by moving things and not changing the signs!) Is butternut ROUND, oblong ??? what about spaghetti squash...I saw a big 'ole squash at the store, and then wasn't sure which it was...I need a book with pictures. Other produce plays the same tricks. Especially if you've never seen them....I guess since going raw, I'm really paying attention to ALL the produce.....wondering "what's that?!"
