This is not a complaint, I am so proud of her. I made a glass of green juice this morning (celery, spinach, ginger, lemon, apple, and grapefruit) I left it on my bedside table, and then walked out of the room. I came back. It was gone. There was maybe 1/2" left in the bottom of the glass. I asked my 5 year old where it went. I assumed it had been spilled. She says "SHE DRANK IT!" and sure enough, she had a green juice moustache :throwhearts:
Even before going raw, we ate a really healthy SAD (if that exists) going raw has been easier than I initially thought, I didnt realise how much raw we already ate. My kids have no problems with salads, raw veg etc. My 5 year olds favorite food is brussel sprouts. I have to steam them lightly, but whatever. Ill take it! They also really like smoothies. They do not seem to care if their food is green.
I learned with my 2 year old that anything I put in MY mouth, she HAS to have. My 5 yr old has been a little more reluctant, she is willing to try anything... but she will NOT eat avacados. That is where I get most of my fat from, I almost always slice some up for my salad, but she does NOT like them( and I know its a dislike, because she only has a few foods that she WILL NOT eat, so I wont force her) ...so Im wondering if there is something else anyone can suggest to give her in place of avacados?

If it's good fats your concerned about, we love to add cold pressed flax oil to our smoothies, or coconut/coconut oil. Sometimes we do Hemp oil as well. You can add just about any kind of cold pressed oil (except olive) and not taste it. :0) Olive is probably best on salads with a little lemon juice/salt.. we like garlic salt. :0) The unprocessed just has too strong a taste to put in most smoothies IMO.
Now, if you do Maple Syrup with her, you can also mix 1/2 and 1/2 maple syrup to flax...can barely tell the difference. (I know many of the raw foodies on here don't do maple syrup as it is not really raw) We like the Grade B Organic variety.
That is so great that your little ones eating healthy! Mine too and I love it! You go mama! :0)

the flax oil is a good idea. I never thought of that. Often times, I put the young coconut meat in my smoothies, so I didnt think about the fats in that, but thats good. She does eat food that ISNT raw as well. I havent forced them to go 100% raw, because I dont want it to be a struggle. I just dont buy junk food, so Im not really too concerned about maple syrup, and I will give that a try!

ummm... chocolate mousse!!! you take your avo, add in raw cacao powder and voila... you got yourself a lovely dessert!!!
This is another version (from my e-book)
Easy Cacao Pudding
3 ripe avocados
2T cacao powder
1tsp raw agave or raw honey
Blend until smooth and creamy. Top with walnut chunks, cacao nibs or shredded
coconut for a change.

What a wonderful problem to have!
Wish my 9 yo son would nick my food!
He will NOT touch avos, so I put them in his green smoothies and in his chocolate custard/pudding, he is none the wiser!

My child love it just plain
You can make a key lime pudding (young coconut meat/water/lime juice/avocado/sweetener/coconut butter/vanilla) I am not good in recipe, i just add thing until it taste good. Make a white sauce in the vitamix with the coconut meat and a little bit of coconut water, add a sweetener (i use honey), about half of coconut butter or less and vanilla.
Make the key lime. 4 avocado/4 limes/sweetener/vanilla/about half or less of coconut butter, blend in the food processor.
In the blender, blend about the same amount of coconut sauce or less with the lime pudding. Keep aside the left over sauce.
Blend well (Taste and add ingredient to make it taste good, but it should be fine)
You can make a crust, place the key lime pudding and top with the coconut sauce.
Or you can put it in little container and top it with the coconut sauce.
It is very good
Enjoy

My 2 year old loves my raw food I eat also. She will try anything I put in my mouth. I even have to keep her from picking and eating all the broccoli in the garden, because it's not ready to pick yet. But when I do let her pick it she eats it all up and wants more. Sooo great I hope it stays this way. My older kids 5 & 6 are not quite so enthusiastic. But like the OP we lead a very healthy lifestyle before I went raw.
I have done a raw chocolate pudding before much like Aleesha's but I added a banana in it. You night try that if you are worried about the avocado flavor coming through or the texture. It would change it just a bit.
And here is to 2 year olds that will try anything :cheer: :woot: :excited:

This is exactly what I do for my 12 year old who doesn't like avocados, according to her...but she sure does clean her little bowl of chocolate pudding every time it's placed in front of her. ...what she doesn't know won't hurt her, maybe I'll let her in on the secret one day. ;)

Hemp seeds and flax seeds have plenty of Omega 3 and 6 in them.
And Chia seeds are good too.

My guess is that avocado haters dislike the texture more than the taste which is why disguising them in other foods works so well. I don't like the texture of them either, but I love guacamole.
I also hate the texture of raw tomatoes. I insist on eating them because they contain so many good nutrients. I have to cube them to get them down in a salad (small cubes).
