Here's the link. He's looking for strict raw foodists who have been raw at least 3 years. I have always regretted the lack of scientific study on various vegan/vegetarian/raw diets and here's a chance to actually participate in one. Unfortunately, I don't qualify, but maybe someone here will and will offer themselves to science! ;)

Anywho, thought I'd share :)

this makes me laugh:

Dr Fontana said the raw food diet group also had higher vitamin D levels than people on a typical Western diet, even though they did not consume dairy products which are known to be a good source of vitamin D.

He said this was probably down to sun exposure.

cause dairy consuming people NEVER go out into the sun LOL

My guess is that raw foodists would have higher Vit D as they have less fat and toxins in the skin being replaced by higher levels of cartonoids. So they are much more efficient in processing sunlight into chemical energy and its physical byproducts, one being Vit D :)

My guess though is that generally speaking, raw foodists are more active than those on the standard diet as well, thus increasing sun exposure.
