I've been juicing and making smoothies and a little herbal tea for the past 3days now. I did eat a small bowl of leftover kale today. So...I'm trying to fast (in my own way) to see if it will help a skin cancer I have on my face that comes up ever so often, and I've been putting lots of coconut oil on it. It's been gone for a couple of months but now it's back again. (it disappeared the first time after using lots of coconut oil on it) Also, I think because my diet for the past few months eating all kinds of crap that's totally bad for me might have caused the flareup. Has anyone else had success clearing up basal cell ca by juicing and smoothies?? I'm trying desperately to avoid going back to the dermatologist because they want to cut a chunk out of my cute little nose to biopsy it and then most likely surgery to cut it out....meaning most likely scar. I'm asking for any help, ideas, etc. anyone has to offer about this.......Thanks for reading. ...btw, it's been a long time since I've posted here, but now I need to be back in association with all you healthy folks!:hug

here's my recommendation:
100% raw
lots of green juices.
personally i would do an extended fast on juice focusing on lots of greens in every juice. no fibre... so no kale chewed up... but juiced would be GREAT!
tomatoes are GREAT for the skin so i'd make sure i added a nice tom juice to my day as well. you can drink a lot of tomatoes compared with how many you can eat in a day. i love tom/kale/ginger/garlic/beet/beet-greens/celery/fennel/lime - and some lovely spices!
i'm about to start another fast tomorrow... i'd love to support you in the fasting thread if you choose to go that route.

Thank you Aleesha. I've never really fasted before until now cause it's not easy thinking about food. But, I think your right about the green juices, and I will try, but I'm wondering if I can work all day in an office (typing). So, I will really give it a shot.

Yes wheat grass juice, but omg I don't like it, and don't have a way to juice it. I'm using my blender to make juice and strain thru nut milk bag. Will that work for wheat grass?
Aleesha what are the spices you use in your tomato juice?

i have found that when my body wants wheatgrass it likes the taste, when it doesn't need it i don't like the taste.
fasting and office work are a good match actually cause it's not a physical job. i am able to publish my magazine while fasting... lots of typing involved. ;)
i used lots of different spices depending on the flavour it want.
i always add kelp powder, cayenne and then i add depending on my tastes:
cumin, fennel, cajun, chipolte, mexican, indian, chinese... honestly i have lots of spices... all different flavours and i just create something yummy for myself. i get my spices through goodcat (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/member.php?u=19135) here on the forum. she has a small business and sells lovely spices (most that i get are organic) and her prices are AMAZING. her customer service is stellar! i highly recommend her!

Oh dear.
It seems like a good move to do your fast. Cucomber is good for skin too.
Since your body seems to release the toxin from your skin, two things that i am aware that could be a problem: You could have leaky gut syndromes (Therapeudic enzyme seem to work to heal this condition). And if you have far too much toxin in your gut which get absorb back in your blood stream. I will consider doing hydro colonic therapy during your fast.
I am not a doctor, please research and do what feels right for you and work for you.
Raw food heal. Alive plant food expecially the one with anti-oxydant has been know to neutralize free radical and even reverse some of the cancer condition.
If you do smoothie, add saffron. It is a powerful anti-oxydant and had lead some tumor to self destroye themself as per Dr. Oz.
Visualize that your skin is beautiful. I would look into Louise Hay book about heal your life. Our emotions manifest physically. It is worth the time to do positive affirmation
All the best for you
