Hi everyone!

Haven't posted in a long while.

I was hoping someone could help. I have been having pain in my right upper quadrant for 4 months straight (non stop) sometimes worse, sometimes better but still non stop.

After many test the docs have come to the conclusion that it's my gallbladder. After 2 ultrasounds and a Cat-Scan there shows NO stones, but the Hida scan came back as 32% (Normal is 35% and above).

Anyway, as is not surprising with doctors they want to take my gallbladder out and I am not wanting to do the surgery. Btw, I have never had one of those gb "attacks" I hear horror stories of. Just constant pain under my rib that sometimes radiates to my back and down my flank. All my organs come out healthy in the tests.

I have been off raw foods for a while (only about 40- 50% now) but felt great while on it.

My question is, has anyone healed themselves from gallbladder disease? If so how? I cannot eat nuts of any sorts because that just kills me. But if anyone has any experience with this I would very much appreciate your advice. I know the body can heal itself, but I have read that with gallbladder issues it's harder.

Thanks in Advance!!
Nathalie

it's your body and your choice but i would be switching myself to 100% raw foods and then doing research to find out if it'll help me WHILE my body worked on helping itself. after all, we know the power of raw live foods! so many of us have achieved so much healing...

but that's just me. ;)

There's part of your answer. I used food and qigong to heal myself.

I had gallbladder attacks 2 years ago and it ranged from mild to moderate. I had spent 2 months in the chiropractor trying to figure out why my shoulder, back and arm wouldn't stop hurting. Finally my gallbladder spoke up. It was the gallbladder all along.

I knew about the liver/gallbladder cleanse so I researched and got up the nerve to do it. You will find a thread about the liver cleanse on the RFT home page. I released about 30 small pea green stones and some larger grape size masses. I got some relief for about 6 weeks. I had pain again and repeated the the cleanse and this time the pain did not go away totally. I still had just a mild sensation. I went to my local health food store and talked to the owner who suggested a Liver/Gallbladder Cleanse by Brenda Watson. I started her product taking 1 capsule 2x/day for the first 3 days as suggested and then 2 capsules 2x/day. After just 3 days my pain was gone and never to return! I completed the 30 days and all went well. I have done the cleanse since then with no remarkable results. But this is what worked for me.

Also the stones don't necessarily have to be calcified. There may be stones in there but I think that in order to be seen on an scan they need to be calcified. Look at some pictures online to see a gallbladder with "stones" inside. The grape-like masses that I passed look exactly like what I see packed inside these surgically removed gallbladders.

There are other things to consider along with cleansing the liver like parasite and candida cleanse. You may want to see what role they may play in your case.

I have tremendous respect for my liver. It has so many jobs to do every second of the day. I wish you the best on your healing your gallbladder and becoming pain free.

Like Dawn said, before the stones get hard, they start out as soft globs of cholesterol so it does sound like you might want to do a cleanse and my feeling is that it takes several cleanses to get everything out. I say this because my mother did just one cleanse one year and then lost her gallbladder the next year, so it does take a few tries to clean it out.

This is from the link below
"A few days after the cleanse, stones from the rear of the liver will have traveled "forward" towards the main bile ducts leaving the liver, and fill the gall bladder again! This is why it is sometimes necessary to do up to 6 cleanses (perhaps one each month) in order to get rid of all the stones. If a cleanse produces no more stones, your liver can be considered to be in excellent condition! "
Whatever method you use, pick one that uses Epsom Salts because they will relax the muscles of the liver and let the stones pass. I personally have never had results without Epsom Salts. That said, Epsom Salts are not for everyone and please read this list of condradictions:
http://www.drugs.com/sfx/epsom-salt-side-effects.html

Once I felt a build-up of pressure in my liver and I tried walking around but that didn't help so I massaged my liver and I heard a "pop" and the pressure was released! To avoid that situation and soften the stones you might want to do this, which I've never personally done.

Good luck with your gallbladder.:)

GALL BLADDER CLEANSE
"VERY IMPORTANT: It is crucially important BEFORE you begin this gall bladder cleanse to have drunk TWO GLASSES of APPLE JUICE (packaged juice is just as good as fresh) every day for 14 days before the cleanse. This is very important as certain constituents of apple juice (it is believed to be the high pectin levels) SOFTEN the stones and enable them to pass HARMLESSLEY through the gall ducts. I have supervised hundreds of such cleanses using exactly this protocol that I am recommending here without one patient suffering any harm whatsoever. But please follow the instructions carefully, and it must be said that you have ultimate responsibility, given that none of you are actual patients of mine.

An alternative to apple juice that is just as effective, is Orthophosphoric acid (75%) - take 30 drops a day for 3-4 days, and gradually increase the dosage to 50 drops daily - continue for 10 days. Each 30 drops contain 390mg of Orthophosphoric acid."

i had a growth on my gallbladder, no stone. i was severely sick for months straight, i tried EVERYTHING. i researched the olive oil gallbladder cleanse. its a hoax. the "stones" you see are just a combination of ingredients taken together. i had the surgery. it was keyhole. it is very quick and you will feel one hundred percent better afterwards. its very expensive, and you have to take pharm drugs to deal with the pain, but you can detox after with a juice fast or 100% raw diet. The only way to stop your symptoms is a. surgery b. a no-fat diet for the rest of your life. you may also want to wait it out, it could heal itself. its all about what you can handle. i was so afraid of surgery and suffered for almost 10 years, i would wake up ill every morning. give it time, if you can handle it. my aunt had a problem and it went away. i mean, there is no harm in trying the cleanse, and if your symptoms persist for a while, they probably wont go away.

dont get me wrong, i believe in the powerful healing properties of a raw food diet, and believe in many cleanses, but this one sounds like saponification of olive oil and lemon juice.

just found out not too long ago i have a dysfunctional gallbladder as well... i have only had one attack and it was enough that i never want another one. i am not 100%, probably more around 50-75 with some days 100 here and there. after that i ate raw 100% for a week, the pain subsided. i also read to juice an entire pineapple and drink it as soon as you wake up every now and then and it'll help... plus i had my chiro adjust me where it would affect my gallbladder. i'm back to not eating 100% raw and i haven't had anymore trouble so far. but good luck, and i would do everything in my power to not have my gb taken out. but thats me.

I would seriously pass on the surgury, Doctors love to cut is my motto and if you give them the slightest excuse out come the knives. If their tests say you are ok and cannot explain the pain then do not let them proceed.

When I went about 80% raw and was detoxing I had very similar pain to yours. I thought it was kidney stones, just a dull ache in the lower to mid right back side. Had a cat scan, xray and blood tests all of which came up ok but still the pain was there but only in the early hours of the morning.

Now that I look back I finally realised that the pain was coincidental with me going high raw. So now that the pain has gone I strongly believe that it was due to detox and basically an excess of toxins and whatever other gunk was coming out. When detoxing your organs are working overtime and you can expect them to ache ! If you go for a jog after not having run for 5 years your muscles ache so why not your organs if you put them to work ?

So if you are getting pain then I'd continue on the raw foods and with time you should find pain like this will eventually subside as your body becomes cleaner. Obviously if the pain continues you need to investigate further but really I'd give it 12 months if your pain is coincidental of going to a raw food diet.

Sorry, but I actually disproved this theory and ANYONE can disprove this theory so easily. Just omit the lemon juice, you will get the same results.

I found this out by accident when I did a liver cleanse without the lemon and got the same results. Try it.

Kaleboy, thanks for posting that link, Alissa did a good write up of the cleansing process. I prefer to do mine in the morning so I don't have to fast for a few hours, I don't know of anyone else who does it that way. I think it's better to do it in the evening because the liver produces bile from noon to 8 pm but I not really into fasting and I keep coping out of the fast (I'm so weak) so I just do it the easy way and do the fasting while I sleep.

my doctor tried the olive oil cleanse on himself as an experiment after hearing one of his patients say she had good results from it. He had the results lab tested and indeed they were saponified olive oil. Stones will show up on an ultrasound. Gallbladder attacks can be brought on by high fat, even healthy raw fat like nuts and seeds. cut them out for a while and see if it makes a difference.
