Hi all!

I'm on day 4 of my raw food journey and it's already been quite a ride! I'm definitely experiencing some symptoms of detox which is what I was hoping for.

I've been vegan for two years and was looking to recapture the feeling of the first few months. Feeling so healthy and good for making a positive change. So I started investigating raw and decided to give it a go. I certainly wasn't a "junk food vegan" but I wasn't eating nearly as cleanly as I did when I first started out. I'm excited to continue making healthy discoveries.

I'm currently a corporate refugee/full time student. I run, hike, mountain bike, blog and volunteer when I'm not studying.

In health,
Talia

Welcome fellow vegan!

I was a long term vegan before I was raw, and also not a junk food vegan, but the difference between 'healthy' cooked vegan and raw vegan is like NIGHT AND DAY!!! So much better!

Good luck on your journey! :woot:

In your investigation of raw foods, did you read Alissa's book "Living on live food"? I can never say enough good about that book and the DVD that show you how to prepare raw food recipes. Her second book is nice and is mainly what I would call a recipe book but the 1st book has everything you need to know and understand about raw & living foods plus recipes and more. It's definately a plus being vegan before. I'm excited for you....good luck!

Awesome. =] Welcome to the forums! I hope you enjoy your time raw - is it an experiment or a permanent switch?
