My husband just brought me home an aloe plant, what can I do with it? I know that I can use it for burns and cuts and things like that, but can I drink it, or juice it or somthing? Thanks!:heart

Blend it with juice ~ if it's mature enough.

How do I know if it is mature enough? Do I use the whole plant or just some of it? And when you say blend it with juice do you mean I should put it in a blender and then add it to the juice?
Cut the green outer skin off so that you have just the white flesh left. Put the flesh into a bowl of water and let sit for about an hour -this helps to pull some of the more bitter juices from the aloe. Then I usually just put some into a smoothie and refrigerate the rest - it lasts quite a few days. I've also made a pudding with it - blended with cashews, cocoa, honey...a few other things (it was a while ago); it worked well to thicken it up.

I know alot of organic mens shaving creams use it as a base so maybe you can try it out on your armpits if you shave there and you'll never have to buy shaving cream again. I'm sure it'll work fine in its natural state...

It's great to ingest, but it's also wonderful on the skin as a moisturizer and I love it in my hair as well.
