I hope this is the right place to put this, don't know if I'll be able to find it if it is moved.:o
Anyway, I have 100 extra pounds that need to go. Currently I am not exercising because I have asthma that has been acting up while doing regular household chores. I really HATE using my inhaler- I can't stand the way it makes me feel, so I avoid it unless I really need it. Mostly my symptoms are just tightness in the chest and feeling slightly breathless. I currently take Singulair daily (hope to be able to stop taking it soon- I was just diagnosed with asthma 1 1/2 years ago and I'm hoping going RAW will send the asthma packing) so I haven't had to use my inhaler in a long time because I avoid my triggers. Anyway, I haven't been exercising.
I am wondering about having loose/excess skin if I lose weight too quickly- has anyone here had that issue? Is there anything I can do to try to prevent having that problem? I don't want to go from feeling bad about my body because I'm fat to feeling bad about my body because I'm flappy.

First, you can always find your own posts by going to your profile.

Second, if you listen to my interview... I think it was the second or third one with Philip McCluskey on Rawkin' Radio, he answers that question. He eliminated 200 pounds in 2 years. Another interview I did, don't remember if we discussed it, but, he ~ Clent ~ eliminated 200 pounds in one year. I think neither of them had much trouble with loose/flabby skin.

Like Revvell, I heard from Clent that he has no excess skin from his large and fast weight loss and he is in his thirties. Google his story and check youtube for the videos. There is a recent video on YouTube about a man losing 135 pounds with green smoothies and he has no hanging skin, either. Most people who lose 100 pounds do have the loose skin shrink up some after they reach goal, although it can take a little time. Don't let the idea of hanging skin stop you or slow you down. Drink some delicious green smoothies and eat raw and let your body heal, too. Just one more reason to eat raw and breathe easy!
Best,
LN

That's great news. Thanks for the specific information!

Thanks so much! I have not had one green smoothie yet, but I'm thinking that is definitely what's for dinner tonight. The only greens I have are lettuces but I'll get some more tomorrow.

I think replacing one daily meal with a green smoothy with lots of greens, bananas, berries and sprouts in it and a short daily walk around the block and you wont have asthma in 6 months...probably the biggest barrier will be the physchological one of letting go of it.

That will be SO awesome, to be asthma free. I am looking forward to it.
I am going to order a rebounder today, so I have something gentle to start out with- I just plan to do the health bounce for how ever long I can do it to begin with, and go from there.

One word

MSM very good for the skin and help prevention of lose skin

It is best to take in the morning for it cans have a side effect to prevent you from sleeping. If you don't have any problem with sulfur, it should be ok with you.

You need to find a way to exercise, even if this is only walking.

You have been given already good advices!

All the best for you
