Hello everyone !...not only am I a 'raw newbie' but I am new to this, as in forums, chat, etc....so, bear with me.....here is a short story about me.....
I'm here because basically, I have grown so tired thinking about my weight every day that, after alot of research, I've decided to try the 'raw' approach. People tell me I look fine and laugh when I talk about losing weight but if I'm not comfortable and think about it all the time, it's time to do something about it and the 'raw' way keeps calling me.
I am 57 years old and recently retired after working for almost 40 years with the same employer. I have 2 fabulous children and 2 wonderful grandchildren with another on the way in August. I have never struggled with my weight until I hit 50. But, this Christmas, I baked and baked, something that I have never had much time for what with working all the time. And as I baked, I ate my baking, lots of it.......low and behold, I gained about 10 lbs, honest ! I do not generally eat "white" anything, sugar, flour, etc. and havent all my life, so I guess my body freaked with all this poison and decided to give me 10 lbs of flub (on top of the extra 10 lbs I already had).
For the past month, I have been eating low carb, etc and nothing is happening. Soooooo, here I am....this thinking about my weight every day has got to stop and so I am looking at raw eating as a change in lifestyle rather than a weight loss program but certainly in the hopes of releasing this unnecessary burden. I look forward to everyone's help and support.
Peace !
