Hello Everyone!

This Saturday I went shopping at WholeFoods and looked for raw coconut oil. When I finally thought I found it, the jar said Virgin Coconut Oil Medium Heat Up To 280 Degrees F! I can't find Raw Coconut Oil! Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance!

Be aware that the packaging for many oils will list a suggested maximum temperature/smoke point for cooking with them. Perhaps that was what the temperature you saw referred to?

Correct, but 280 degrees is not raw.

I got this one from Whole Foods:

It's Coconut Butter, but just put it in the dehydrator and warm it to liquify.

Also, Dr. Cousens and Dr. Mercola both talked about Coconut Oil just last night.

Here's where you can go to get another RAW brand as well as other products at a
discount now:

280 degrees is the suggested maximum cooking temperature. Meaning that if you heat your (raw) oil above that temperature it will begin to smoke. An apple is also raw, but if you heat it to a certain point (imagine 280 degrees) then it will begin to turn black.
