I've been 100% raw for over a month now. While I don't always have the increased energy everyone talks about -- some days I do feel super energized, while other days I feel exactly the same as before, which is fine -- lately I have had a little trouble sleeping.
"Trouble sleeping" sounds kind of negative. Really, what happens is that it will be like midnight and I should go to bed but I feel wide awake despite having had a long, busy day.
Is this what people mean when they say they need less sleep when they are raw? I'm actually a little concerned because I want to stay well rested. I think it's really important to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night, and lately during the week I've gotten less than that because I'm wide awake at night and then have to get up for work in the morning.
Sometimes at night I will have a fruit smoothie (strawberries, blueberries, banana, usually) but it's usually at least 3 hours before I go to bed. Could the fruit be keeping me awake with sugar, etc.?
