Welcome welcome welcome!!! :excited:
Welcome to the 30 day challenge. :eat
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,
Cherie

Hi Everyone!!
Today I had a good day, actually, the last few days I didn't have all that many greens , so my lunch was an enormous bowl of mixed lettuce, baby beetroot tops and baby spinach. (Had to do the teeth check before talking to anyone after that!) :D
also had:
frozen grapes
banana
3 banana and nut crackers
sweet potato chips
frozen rasberries
Hi Jeannie! Sounds like a great day too me -- thanks for the reminder on frozen grapes. I LOVE THEM and haven't had them for so long. In the height of the summer, grapes all around, what have I been thinking!!
What time is it where you are now??

Goooooood morning everyone!
Breakfast - my usual liter of GS: Kale, banana, cacao powder with maca, ice and enough water to mix. That was all I threw in today, I was rushing.
Snack - a baggie full of strawberries and blackberries; a GoRaw banana "bread" flax bar and a Raw Revolution Hazelnut & chocolate bar- both purchased at my co-op yesterday after work, when I stopped for a few items. I doubt I'll eat this stuff today, but I threw it in there just in case I don't get time for lunch, I can just grab a bar.
Lunch - I threw a bunch of stuff in my bag again today and we'll see how it all turns out. I have spinach, onion, red pepper, cauliflower. I also brought nutritional yeast, cayenne, and garlic powder.
Having a RAWking great day everyone!! :throwhearts:

Good morning, Beauties!
OnMyJourney Hope you're recovering well! :hug
Today is a great day! Looks like it is going to be in the low 50's this weekend and all next week... :excited: All I can say is 'Helloooooooooooo Spring, hiking, gardening and time outdoors!!!!" :woot:
I went grocery shopping at our local Organic store and they always have the best produce. All the greens looked amazing and fresh that I don't want to keep them in the fridge for long. I picked up a lot of fruit (Pineapple, lots of oranges, apples, bananas, grapefruit, blueberries & mangoes). Today is a fruit filled kind of day! I think so! :wuv
Today's Plan:
-Green Juice
-Banana
-Grapefruit
-Salad (no avocado today)
-Fruit Smoothie
-Mango
Hope you all have a fruity-fantastic day!!!

Here's what I did with the things I brought for lunch (spinach, onion, red bell pepper, cauliflower), I turned it into a salad. I ended up sprinkling some cayenne, garlic powder and a little nutritional yeast on top...just because I brought them really. LOL It was SOO yummy and I didn't even need a dressing!

Yay!!
So happy to see everyone is doing so well!!! :excited:
I missed posting yesterday - it was a crazy day, but I remainded all Raw through it!! :encore:
Today was another crazy day....the computer system wasn't working at work & that's how we do our cash register....so, we had to hand write everything down...figuring tax, etc...etc....I managed to stay calm through it all...I am pleased!!
I'm sure it was my morning smoothie that helped....and the kava kava tea....lol
For lunch I had a small handful of dehydrated almonds, a bowl of yummy cherries & the rest of my brownie dessert....it really hit the spot today!!!!
I am thinking of kale salad for supper......with tomatoes & avocado.....sesame seeds....a dressing of olive oil, lemon juice, sesame oil, braggs aminos....little nutritional yeast on top.....maybe a couple black kalamata olives....mmmm....too bad I won't be eating for another 4hrs.....I have to teach yoga in a couple hours....I don't like to eat for a long time before I teach, otherwise it makes me feel yucky......
What's on the menu for everyone else?! :eat
After almost 2 months without avocados, had 2 today and feeling heavy. Mind you they're bigger here. But I don't like this feeling, almost like cooked.
I might try to move closer to 811 but unofficially. I have the feeling I need for more exercise (like running or biking AND P90X!) and to rearrange some things. We shall see. Perhaps I just need less computer time!
Funny how raw helps a heap but is just not the answer to everything. You still have to live love and move! And all the other things that help!
Hope your days are ending wonderfully, I'm about to send an email to my newsletter subscribers, which is always such a joy. There's something special about sharing with people who have the hearts and the minds to receive what you're sharing. :heart

*ears perk up* Did I 'hear' someone mention P90X in here??? *Looks toward Eva with a girlish smile* :wuv
Speaking of which:
My energy drink during P90X workout - Daterade: about 8 dates in water and ice
Recovery drink after P90X - this was prepared in an EXTREME hurry as I attempted to do my Kenpo, shower, fix the drink and get my daughter back to school to be in her play in enough time! Whew... so yea, I missed a few ingredients. But here goes: kale, banana, cacao powder with maca, dates, ice, water
Dinner were served at the program, but of course nothing for me. I was eagerly anticipating Monk's chili anyway...which I'm about to go to my kitchen and prepare. I just home and had to check in with you all!! :heart

It's THAT good and I refuse to be ashamed of myself! :p I sprinkled a little cayenne on top and put some celery in for a little more crunch. This recipe should go in the hall of fame! LOL

Hi everyone! I forgot to post yesterday but here I am. Glad to hear everyone is going strong!
I really wanted to cheat yesterday and I even went so far as to ask Trav to stop so I could get my fave potato chips and he refused!! He said that I've been doing so well and totally talked me out of it and I'm glad he did. Feeling better than ever today! We went for a 14k hike today and it was sunny and beautiful and I'm not even sore (yet).
Today's menu was:
-GS for breakfast
-fruit during the hike
-big green salad for lunch
-orange mango juice (SOOOOOO good)
I think I might make some of Monk's chili tonight. I'll have to scroll throuh because I forgot which day it's posted on.
Below is a picture of my juice (there was a blood orange in there). I just thought it was so darn pretty. LIke a sunset.:encore:

Hey, you know that wonderful salad I had talked about making?....
Well....it never happened! lol
I taught my yoga class....left the YMCA at 8pm...had to get gas, and "quickly" get some laundry detergent from Target......lol - Yeah, right "quickly".....lol...
Needless to say - I got home around 9:20pm.....lol
All I had for dinner was some baby carrots & a cut up cucumber (that I shared with DBF).....and some of the dressing that I talked about for my salad.....ah, whatever! lol I was still satisfied!! :excited:
OMG! So many great photos!!!!!! I'm hungry, and I just ate! lol!

No kidding on the grapes. And dang if I didn't forget to get some! Suppose it would do me much good today anyhow, since I don't yet have a freezer at my office. (SOON!)
That reminds me to change my profile! I've moved to Brazil - 3 hours head of the US - so you must be "only" 10 hours ahead! Such a strange strange world when you think about it! Hope you had a great day today! :)
