Welcome welcome welcome!!! :excited:
Welcome to the 30 day challenge. :eat
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,
Cherie

Terrific Tuesday! :woot:
Had a good day, the longer I am on raw, the more I seem to be gravitating to mono meals, it is no effort whatsoever and I am loving the simplicity of raw food preparation .. or rather.. no preparation.
I still can't get it into my head that I can eat a whole avo a day and still lose weight, but it's happening! I was on a diet once that allowed for 1/8th of an avo.. what absolute torture to only be allowed 1/8th of an avo at a time!
Todays menu:
banana
pecan nuts
frozen grapes
avo
another banana
That's not a lot is it? Guess I wasn't all that hungry, and my body didn't need any more than that.

Happy, Happy Tuesday!!!:woohoo:
Yesterday afternoon I had a smoothie and again... That is all I had for the rest of the night. Trying to keep my tummy "half full" and satisfied. Lemon water for the evening did the trick.
Today's plan:
-Green Juice (Mustard Greens, Kale, Celery, Ginger, Garlic, Jalapeño & 1 apple)
-Smoothie - Yes, for lunch! :p (Blueberries, Cacao, Bananas, Maca, Lucuma, Yacon & coconut flakes)
-Salad (the usual with no avocado today)
-Collard Wrap when I get home.
That's about it! *HUGS* Have an amazing, Rawkin' day! :hippy

How wonderful that you are feeling satisfied & relaxed about your eating!!
Wow!! 1/8 of an avocado at a time....I think it would rot before you could finish it! lol.....That's not living!!
I too find that my body is satisfied with much less food & I rarely even think about it, unless my stomach is growling - yelling "FEED ME NOW!!!"....LOL
Now that we are giving our body the nutrients it needs, it no longer has to search by us consuming tons of food that doesn't have any....

Happy Tuesday to you too!!
Nice idea about keeping only 1/2 full - I think I just read something in one of my books with a similar idea - keeping 1/4 empty for "air" in our belly...
What a yummy day you have planned!!!

Happy Day 8 To YOU!!!!
Well, it is SUPER cold this morning....it's -1 degree, with a windchill of -16 below zero.....:cold:
On days like this in WI. - it really is mind over matter.....
I had my cup of tea & smoothie for breakfast.....
I will probably drink tea throughout the day to keep my body warm & cozy.
I am planning on making "chili" again for supper - nice & filling :eat
Not sure what I'll have for lunch......
RAWK ON EVERYONE!!!

Hello everyone!!
Breakfast - Green smoothie: kale, banana, cacao powder w/maca, ground flax, celery, spinach, ice and just enough water to mix. Not much.
Snack - a BUNCH of black berries and strawberries YUUUM!
Lunch - Lettuce wraps! When I need quick and easy, this is my "Go to" meal. Just throw whatever you have in them. Romaine lettuce leaves, left overs of my marinara sauce from my pizza (I made it more like a paste, but not too thick); chopped up onion, red, green and yellow bell pepper.
 Have a wonderfully RAWking day everyone!!
ETA
I forgot to add that I also brought mung bean sprouts to add to my lettuce wraps.
HI!! Another fabulously raw day in fabulously hot Brazil. :)
Breakfast was a green smoothie with banana, mango, and the last of the dandelion greens from the farmers market (booo! can't wait until it's saturday again!).
Had a pear.
Copying lunch from twitter :) Strangely enjoyable lunch courtesy of my Carlos: soup w/ zukes, tomatoes, OO, ACV, sea salt, cilantro; topped w/ chopped tomatoes & okra.
Forgot the mention the chili he added though. Yikes!
About to have a cuke & tomato salad, no idea what dinner will be. Considering making yesterday's easy chocolate shake (http://uncooking101.com/site/other-stuff/recipe-eva-rawposas-easiest-chocolate-milkshake-ever/) again. It was so flippin' good!
Lots of work today and am ALMOST tired after only 3 or so hours of sleep. Work work working on the new website and newsletter. Got to get these things done! So hmmm, yeah, chocolate shake might be on the agenda for dinner.

Is it weird that I'm jealous of Eva with her hot Brazil days AND of those of you who are getting snow?? All I get here is rain and I love rain, but it would be nice to go taboganning and/or walk around in shorts!
I didn't post yesterday but it was a good day. I had:
-carrot, beet, rappini and celery juice
-a blood orange, a mango and a banana
-two nori rolls
-fresh salsa with veg
We also went for a 10km hike to a provincial park near our house and that was lovely (even with the rain!:woohoo:).
Today I think I will have a gs for breakfast and maybe a soup for lunch. I have some zucchini middles leftover but don't know what to do with them so if anyone has any ideas lemme know! I've been getting really bad cravings...

Congratulations on the weight release queenkel!! Way to RAWk!
Dinner - Was inspired by Eva's cucumber and tomato salad. I chopped up 2 roma tomatoes, 1 large cucumber and a small avocado and sprinkled it with a mixture of ground flax seed, nutritional yeast, oregano, garlic and cayenne pepper. WOOOOOOWSERS!! It was DELICIOUS! Here's half of it...I quickly went back and ate the other half. So much for lunch tomorrow. :p Second time around I sprinkled a bit more of the mixture and added extra cayenne on top. :woohoo:

B-juiced with hubby and put mine into blender to make a smoothie - collard greens, oranges, grapefruit, lemons, ginger and added all my stuff to it.
L large spinach salad
D-apple
On My Journey - That pic has inspired me to make it for lunch tomorrow.
Monk - just reading the temp sent shivers down my spine - Brrrr - that's why I moved to the desert!
I'm sorry - I didn't write your name - but congrats on the weight loss - great feeling!
I can't find lucuma anywhere - any on-line site have it?
Jeannie - I told my husband what you wrote about the avocado amounts - we went to the store together and he picked out a raw food cookbook for me - he only eats salads and juices. But he loved the recipes and the reading in it which spoke about losing weight and he is frustrated about the yo-yo effect.
That's when I told him about what you wrote.
We bought a dehydrator today, and he's as excited as I am - I couldn't get the book away from him!
