Hi. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Diane. Ive had a lapband since 2005 and lost 65 pounds. I go up and down and am a terrible eater. I cant keep a steady weight and I crave all the bad stuff. I started getting interested in juicing and raw foods. Im taking baby steps. My juicer comes tomorrow.

I want to start slow and change my life to raw foods. What Im not understanding is:
How much juice should I start out with per day
How much veggies and fruit does it take per day
Can I have it in the fridge for throughout the day or do I have to make fresh every time
Is there certain foods I should eat every day, for example I keep seeing spinach, spinach, spinach.
Should I start out slow, for instance, 1 raw day a week and work my way up

I guess what Im asking for is any and all advice on juicing for dummies.

Thanks so much!

You do not need to have certain things per day but if you are planning to do it long term then you need to vary things up over time to get different nutrients.
Juice as much as you want and can swallow. I do not think that you can overdo it but you can underdo it so have some at every opportunity.
Spinach is good but you can not have it every day and should mix up your greens. Celery is something that I would recommend.
You can do this gradually and that suits some people but others jump right in to 100% raw from day 1 and find that easier because then the cravings are gone sooner. You never get rid of cravings if you continue to feed them.

I forgot to say that juice is best if taken fresh but the length of time during which it retains its nutrients tends to depend on the type of juicer that you use. Some are better than others.
If you want to store some in the fridge it is best to fill the container to the top and place a tight lid on it as the less air in there the less oxidation you get.
