Welcome welcome welcome!!!

Welcome to the 30 day challenge.

If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!

Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!

We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!

WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.

We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!

In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.

Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,

Cherie

HI everyone!

I've decided to join the 30 day challenge again. I have been interested in raw for over a year now but haven't been very successful. I keep getting to six or seven days and giving up, but I'm going to do it this time!

Today I'm probably going to have:
-carrot/kale juice
-orange banana smoothie
-big salad with tahini ginger dressing

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next 30 days with you all!

I'm so excited to start another month! This is the longest I've been 100% raw and it's great!:woohoo:

Today I had:

green tea/lemon water
2 bagels w/cream cheez
apple
2 eggless "egg" salad wraps w/avo, tomatoes, spinach, 1/2 jalapeno burger & some leftover sunflower pate to help get rid of it, oh & coleslaw
papaya

maybe more fruit before bed

Hope everyone has a great day 2!
I wanted to add that I lost at least (didn't weigh myself right away) 10 pounds last month and am able to fit into a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to for years!

Update:

After my P90X workout I had the following recovery drink - (smoothie): kale, celery, lettuce, parsley, banana, medjool dates, water, ice, ground flax seeds, cacao powder with maca and mango

Dinner - I sliced up a large cucumber and dipped it into guacamole and a spicy pico de gallo. Yuuuuuuum!

As a side bar I have to say, I LOOOVE walking into my kitchen, looking around at all the food I have and figuring out just how I'll put it all together for a yummy meal. I love how creative and adventurous I'm becoming with raw food. Not sticking to recipes, but venturing out and putting things together based on my taste buds. I feel like a chef! hehe

Jumping in here! It's a different kind of challenge to stay 100% raw here in Brazil without my usual supplies, than it was even when I was in Hungary for 6 months. I'd really like to detail out what I'm eating every day so I'll jog my memory from yesterday:

-1 liter green smoothie with collards, pineapple, and banana
-2 guavas
-Japanese cucumber & tomato salad x 3 (seriously can't get enough of these lately!)
-1/2 a papaya

And I guess that's it. ::scratches head::

:)

Ahhh! Right there with you on that! :hug I didn't like 'cooking' before but since going raw that kitchen is MINE! There are endless possibilities and nothing tastes bad combined... Well, in my 'experimental' juice stage I made one or two juices that should NOT be made again. LOL

ENJOY!
