Not at all, happy to share!! :)

This is the book I go by. Facebuilding: The Daily 5-Minute Program for a Beautiful, Wrinkle-Free Face by Reinhold Benz (20 exercises total for face and neck) Had it for at least ten years now. It works!!

I just do many reps as I want with a good 1 sec hold in between, then after doing all the reps, I hold the move as long as I want with all my might. This is my own modification to my liking on doing these exercises

I think exercisng the face/neck is the best way besides eating raw food to maintain the true appearance of the face.

The snow is up to my chest when I look out my window. I had to shovel a path for my dog this morning and it took me an hour to only go about 15 feet. I will be shoveling snow ALL day so that will be my movement here on this blizzardy Ground Hog Day.

Snow drifts by my house, neighborhood are taller than me.

So... this weekend I will start doing that YogaX (Thanks, Monk & OnMyJourney:throwhearts:). I've had this DVD ALL this time in my "to go through" folder... Can you believe that? LOL!

Hey Monk!!! :heart

I was looking at all kinds of pictures of really advanced yoga poses today in one of my athlete catalog I got in the mail today. Do you know what types of yoga that get really advance in the movements. I just thought it really intriguing!! I think it would be really awesome to do really advance stuff in yoga. Yoga is growing on me.... :throwhearts:

Well, I kicked butt again on P90X today doing the Back, Legs, and Abs! :woot:

Hey Whoa!
I'm not sure there's just one specific "type" of yoga that can get more advanced....just look for "advanced" classes, or dvds - I think gaiam has some....I haven't done any, so I don't have any recommendations.....I have been taught the advanced poses, but really don't use them at the YMCA, because the classes are generally full of newer memebers & they will want to "do" whatever you show....so, I am very cautious of what I teach....;)

Great job with your P90X!!!!

Hey everyone!! I forgot to list my Tuesday night as well monk.

Tuesday night was Yoga X, it was alright. Not a big fan of most of it. But I love the second half, Royal Dancer rocks my socks off! :woot:

Last night was Legs & Back, Ab Ripper X. I BROUGHT IT! Was sweating buckets and muscles were burning like CRAZY. Worked myself right into a MASSIVE charlie horse which ended my workout prematurely. Missed about the last 5 mins of ab ripper ex, floor exercises with legs which worked lower abdominals. My whole lower right leg seized up, though I pushed through for a little while, my body brought me to a screeching halt!

Otherwise, it was an AWESOME work out and I was sooo proud of myself...up until that moment.

Tonight is Kenpo X, one of my FAVORITES!! So even though my leg is still sore, I'm doing my Kenpo gosh darn it!

Have a great day everyone!!! I love this thread...have I mentioned that?? :throwhearts::throwhearts:

took my dogs for a nice long walk, thinking about pulling out the Yin Yoga kit I have for the evening... Monk~ I know you told me something about Yin Yoga once, what's your take?

Hey everyone!

Got my core synergistics work out completed late last night. It totally slipped away from me until bed time. 11pm rolls around, only to realize I hadn't done my work out yet. No sleepie til I've had my rendez-vous with Tony, so off to P90X I went. Finished around midnight and was then so amped up that i couldn't get to sleep until after 2. Yep...I'm ready to go home right now. :o:p But I'm really proud of myself for not skipping it!

I was doing squats just over a week ago and my DOMS has finally cleared but i have a doctors appointment tonite so cant go to the gym :-(

The nutrients im taking in just arent getting into my system :-( I have no idea why. I suspect thats why I had DOMS for so long. my body was trying to repair and I had nothing to repair with!

I think I need more nuts and seeds and things as well as some grains... its all too hard.

Other than my resistance training going badly I have been walking at the beach every night mmmm beach.

Glad your hamstring is better, Monk! :backhug I'm sure by tomorrow it will be back to normal. My hamstrings are the first thing to go sore when I exercise . I always have to make sure that I am stretching and working my Quads, calves and hamstrings all together.

Woke up late this morning :duh and couldn't make it to the gym. I did wake up early enough to do 30mins of Yoga, 10mins of Pilates Abs, 2 sets of push ups and 20mins of meditation. I will go for a jog/walk during my lunch break. Playing it by ear and seeing how I'm feeling this afternoon - Maybe I'll go to the gym tonight for weightlifting. Busy day tomorrow!

I am going on a juice 30-day modified juice feast next week and am getting the ball rolling this weekend. I am planning on staying active for at least 5/7 days every week. Maybe I'll start a thread for that. Should be pretty awesome.

Monk~ What a good idea you have there! If everyone could just dedicate 10 minutes to movement I think the world would be a happier healthier, more peaceful place. Anyone that says they don't have 10 minutes really needs to re-assess their lifestyle and find some time! Work-aholics, social gatherings, etc. Of course we all have things that cannot be pushed aside and need to be done but 10 minutes is totally do-able and a good goal to start out with. Good luck with your new personal goal!

As for me I "tried" some more yoga today. I am using a Gaiam dvd for beginners w/ Rodney Yee i think his name is, and another Yoga for Beginners dvd with several different routines, but for now I'm just doing what I can and not overdoing it with the more difficult poses.

I didn't realise how STIFF my body is.... My goal is to increase strength and flexibility as well as incorporate meditation and breathing exercise into my daily routine. If anyone has any suggestions on good yoga dvds/books/material let me know!!:throwhearts:

I road my bike for 40 minutes today, and 30 minutes of yoga. Today is a good day.

Your body will loosen up the more yoga you do - I see it all the time in the classes I teach - I will get someone new to yoga & they are not too flexible...they show up for a couple times per week & a month later they are telling me the moves/poses they can now do!! It's awesome!!!

I'll see what I can find in my yoga "library" for suggestions~:throwhearts:

I have a couple Yoga Booty Ballet dvds. They are not straight yoga but have some weight work, dancing etc. They are a real good workout and challenging and fun. I will be using those dvds in my March challenge.

I like the idea of moving at least 10 min/day it thats all you got. I do squats at the printer and fax (when I am alone in the office) cannonball crunches, leg lifts etc. I also have an exercise band (like a large rubberband) tucked away in my drawer at work to do upper body exericses. Just need to use it!

Didn't ask Dad to check out the guns. He was too intense yesterday. He does taxes and yesterday was corporate taxes. yikes! He will get a kick out of it when I do. We have lots of fun.

I have a busy day today. I will put in at least 10 minutes!

I'm in for the 30 Day Move-For-10 Challenge. Maybe I can get my husband to join in. He HAS to start doing some focused exerise. His HDL is Dangerously low...22mg/dl...get out...I dont know how that happened. Its supposed to be at least 40mg/dl and be over 60mg/dl to be optimum. 18 months ago his cholesterol was 206 and now its 179 but the HDL is awful. Anyway...

Pop in and press play on the Yoga Booty Ballet! Have fun with Ti and Gillian. They're cool.

Isn't is awesome when you can hold chatarunga with elbows tight - like you can just sit there for a minute?! Pure Power!!!

I felt sick afterwards but now I am better. It was 34 degrees outside and I did light layers. Everything was warm except my arms for some reason and i was sweating a lot. when I got in the house I felt like I had a chill and was going to come down with the flu. but it didn't happen.

Oh no!
I'm glad you are feeling better now~

I'd like to join the post. I was exercising regularly and was feeling great but then life got in the way and I'm starting over. It's not that I don't have enough equipment for variety. Anyway I started yesterday with rebounding for 10 minutes, ball exercises and kettlebell swings.
My big hurdle is I'm up early to first start feeding the animals ( 8 cats, 2 dogs, 2 ponies) then I need top prep for breakfast for guests at our B & B. My downfall is I go into the office and check my mail and then I get wrapped up in one thing after another.

So I now shut my computer down at night and so far it's worked well.
Today I did 20 minute upper body ball workout with weights.
