Matt Monarch mentions in an article: "I have a friend who has been eating 100% Raw for over 55 years. A doctor was curious and wanted to take his blood to do some tests. My friend agreed to do this very extensive blood test. The results showed zero deficiencies and the doctor's jaw DROPPED when he discovered that this 83-year-old man had the testosterone levels of a 20-year-old!"

so, can your MD have this man do a teleconference so the rest of the world can hear what he did, and life in general? Be interesting to know how the rest of his life went leading up to now.
Too bad he and others like him don't come forward to share with us their simplicity of life.
As a previous nurse I deliberately worked in Nursing Homes for over 25 years (on and off)to learn their wisdom and hear about life's journeys from those before me.

Hopefully more will be revealed at some point. Some people just don't want the recognition, which I can understand. Once something like this is out there, it's almost like you become a celebrity. Matt has also talked about his own tests with zero deficiencies, which he will be revealing soon. He's been raw for 13 yrs.

I have zero deficiencies... and I've been raw for a lot less time. It doesn't take a long time to achieve.
And yup... got the blood results beside me to prove it. ;)

:throwhearts: 3.5 years... and still going strong!
Why would people think someone would have deficiency? Maybe I don't realize what deficiency people on SAD have?

Funny you guys are talking about this today. I just posted something regarding my doctor's appt today. She is very upset about me eating raw. She said that I will have micronutrient/vitamin/essential amino acids/essential fatty acid deficiencies. She is also concerned about the fact that I've lost 17 pounds in less than 2 weeks. I'm not starving myself! My body finally has found what it needs that's all. Trying to convince her. I go back in 2 weeks.

I believe the person Matt Monarch is talking about is Dr. Fred Bischi. (sp?) He talks about him all the time, and has an interview with him in the back of his book "Raw Spirit". Throughout the interview, Fred basically says you cannot do any diet one specific way for all people. Everyone is totally different, it's not a "one size fits all", so you have to try continuously to find a balance, as he has. He still runs many miles a day in his 80's. Incredible.

You are a lucky woman to have a DR that supports you in this not "ordinary" way of living according to many traditional medicin DR's.

Eh, I never really said I wanted to be "ordinary" anyway.

i am very blessed. he wasn't in the beginning but after watching me go from being so ill to being so healthy... he certainly became very supportive. he told me to continue doing everything i'm doing... :excited: that's it's obviously working. when i went to him in june last year and told him i wanted to a year long juice fast and i wanted him to monitor my health he simply said, "okay i'll order up some monthly blood work for you." no questions... nothing. he was with me all the way. (i ended up only doing 209 days)
what's great about my dr. is he's totally into research. i know, without a doubt, that when i left his office after first telling him i'd gone raw... that he researched it to find out what i was doing cause when i came back for my test results (this was 6 months into my raw food journey... three years ago) he was not only very enthusiastic but offered me some raw suggestions on how to improve my blood results further (like increasing my iron).

Coming from anyone other than you, that would be jaw-dropping. You are the fasting queen, no doubt.
