Hey all.

I am struggling right now with detox and with ssri withdrawal on top of that. I feel that trying a juice fast for a few days may speed detox and recovery. My only concern is the amount of calories I'd be taking in. I have been eating 2600-2800 calories which is ALOT and I am barely maintaining 140lbs at 5'10'. I can't lose any more weight. Would I still get all the benefits of a juice fast if I drank ALOT of juice but only juice? This would be a load of juiced fruits and greens and veggies and such. I want to do whatever I can to aid myself. School is starting and these withdrawal symptoms and such need to go the hell away.
THANKS !!!

Going all juice will be a step up in detox speed from just raw. The more juice you drink the less detox symptoms. Adding more green juice will speed detox.

Thank you. I feel that giving my digestive system a rest right now would help heal my brain and CNS. Both are super sensitive to lights, sounds, smells and stress. The less digestion there is going on I'm assuming the more healing.

Yes because the majority of our bodies energy goes toward digestion on a normal day but without that need the energy can be used to cleanse and heal the tissues. Good luck!

You can add in chlorella powder into your juices, which has 63 calories per Tbs. Many fasting use it.

oh but i wouldn't use a tablespoon... you may not sleep!

do a juice feast... 4 litres of juice a day. but yes, you may release weight... it should even out after a few weeks at the most though. i seldom release much weight after day 21. (but i'm usually fasting not feasting)

why not just do one day a week... that'll maintain your weight... and assist with detox in a much more gentle way.

Chlorella powder doesn't give me energy like it does for you, Aleesha. I can take it any time and as much as I want and I'm fine. Would trade ya though, especially since I'd prefer not to sleep.. ;)
