View Full Version : Just found young coconut's at Walmart!!!

So now i need some easy recipes for my first time using them! I can't beleive I found them. I was getting a zucchini and I looked up and there they were!! I am so excited!! so any recipes would be greatly appreciated!!!
I know that there is a coconut milkshake that someone on this thread does all the time, and I forgot to write it down, so if anyone knows it I would LOVE to have it!! Thank you!

Hiya.....I saw them at walmart a few weeks ago and was shocked too,unfortunately they were all bad,better luck next time me hopes
vanillia Milkshake
1 Coconut (Meat&water)
1 & half frozen banana
4 dates
2 T honey
2 tsp vanillia ext
Chocolate Mocha Milkshake
1 Coconut(meat&water)
1 banan Frozen
2 T seseme tahini
1 T honey or agave
1 T carob powder
1 T Cacao powder
Blend an add ic to desired taste
Coconut Milk
Blend meat & water-pretty tastey n simple just like that
or add these seprate or together
2-3 dates
2-3 figs
1 banana
1 T cacao or carob powder

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I am glad that you saw this post. You know on those coconuts they have a website it is www.melissa.com or www.melissas.com, but i am going to check out the website to see if it is cheaper to order them through them.

My health food store carries them. I notice a difference when they are very young or getting older.
I use mine (juice and meat) in my hemp shake which I also add carab. Tasted just like a chocolate shake.
Tomorrow I'm adding it to my butternut squash.

I just made a coconut chia shake! It was so good! It was a little hard getting the coconut open,but it was so worth it in the end!! I still have one left, so I will be making another smoothie, but this time I am going to be putting lots of greens in it!

Wow seriously!? How neat, maybe they will become more common now. :) Only one health food store in my town has them, and for $6 per coconut no less!
There are plenty of amazing things *coughdessertscough* that you can make with young coconuts, and personally I love the water!
