I had an emergency appendectomy Saturday at midnight. I am now purifying from strong antibiotics (with probiotics), general anesthetic, strong pain meds.
I'm 100/ raw, and am sticking to green juices & smoothies for a few days in order to be gentle on my digestion (any pressure from the inside is painful).
Can you please recommend any specific foods to aid tissue healing &/or purification?
Thank you!

I'm sorry to hear of your emergency.
I have no good advice for you but I did read that the less food burden you put on your body when you're sick the quicker it will heal. So simple smoothies, juices and soups are probably the way to go. Hope you start feeling better soon.

Thanks monkey! I appreciate your thoughts!
Don't feel too hungry so eating little feels right. Juicing and smoothies have been my staples, and will be through the first stages of the healing process. Hoping for specific advice to maximize my healing.

Pineapple!! It helps to decrease inflammation. When I was younger and had mouth surgery my mom made me eat lots of it to help keep swelling and promote healing. Plus it is super yummy!
