So I've been following this raw food journey for about 2 months now and feel totally great and alive. The only thing I do that isn't raw are my herbal and green teas. (and I will continue doing those) However, lately, I've noticed that I've slipped back into having my double shot lattes (made with soy milk, of course) every day, and now I'm to the point where I'm not liking the taste of them anymore. So today, I decided 'this is it. I'm done with this.' So I'm getting over that final threshold - breaking that final thread - of drinking those things. Just looking for others to help me convince myself that what I am doing is right and healthy. I don't want to rationilize why I need to drink those - I want to rationalize why I DON'T need them.

Well, you dont need the caffeine, a stimulant/drug which taxes your adrenals and wreaks havoc on your heart and entire system, thats for sure. And you dont need the soymilk, an extremely questionable food. You dont need that bit of dead, denatured toxic liquid holding you back even an inch. So yeah for you on letting go of these!!
What this will do is raise you to the next level of health and being. It is also an emotional milestone, giving up your poison lattes (lol you said you wanted this!!)
This will take you higher! Make you cleaner, brighter! Clearer, purer!
This is a huge, incredible gift of health to yourself, your body and your future.
I am very proud of you!
Hugs!

I'm right there with you, Livin'.
This month I come off of anything caffeine. Last month was amazing - I came off of several substances - and I feel WONDERFUL.
The more I stayed raw-y, the more caffeine messed with my body. I could even .... taste it?
So, this month I'm transitioning over to decaf - doing fine with that - need to do better - and by the end of this month - NONE AT ALL - NOT EVEN THE DECAF.

I know what you mean...I was having one every day until July. Grande Skinny Latte! As much as I loved them, they don't prey on my mind too much.

I quit having panic attacks when I quit them.

That's a cool milestone to breakthrough. You know I was a big coffee drinker...lattes, capacinos, and straight coffee I drank every day. I've been 28 days 100% raw, and I feel fantastic. As I think about it when I had caffine, it made me awake for awhile because of the stimulants, but I am sure now that I was groggy awhile after drinking caffine. I think actually I was dragging around, and that made me want more.
Since being 100%, I wouldn't want to ruin this feeling by drinking caffinated products. I feel alert, aware, and awake for at least 14 hours a day. Maybe it's the green juice that I drink, but I'm betting on that it's a combination of having a balanced raw diet.
I'm sure you can do it!! I wish you well in this milestone!!

Livenraw, YOU ARE DOING SO VERY GREAT!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS on 2 months raw. WOW, how marvelous is that?
You KNOW you don't need that soy stuff, or those brown liquid drugs of coffee.
If I could kick a 3 triple grande breve a day habit, you can quit this. YOU CAN DO THIS. We are all here with you, cheering you on, every step of the way.
YES, YES, YES!!!
