Referrals in profiles???

What is a referral in someone's profile?
How/why do you refer someone?

Pam,

When you first sign up (register), there is an area that says,
"If you were referred to this site by an existing member of Raw Food Talk, enter their name here.
Referrer:"

So, if you personally have referred friends or family to RawFoodTalk or convinced someone to join this forum and when they sign up, if they remember to do so or know your username, etc., they enter your name and then when you view YOUR profile, you'll have the number of referrals that you've referred.
