Is it possible to be raw while walking long-distance (cross country)? Perhaps I should take one of those carts... Wonder if that would work?
Or would I be able to unpeel bananas and store them somehow, (to lighten weight) or would they go bad ??? Is this even possible?
What are the lightest but most calorie dense fruits?
(I'm not much of a fats/nuts fan..)

Persimmons (or Sharon Fruit) have edible skin, are very filling, need no preparation and don't bruise easily. I think they would be a great choice. 5 of those and you have had a meal!

I had 5 persimmon for breakfast one day recently (or maybe it was 6) and got over 1100 calories from them. It kept me going until mid afternoon.
Make sure that you do not take the ones that give you cotton mouth if they are not fully ripe or it will spoil your lunch.
