Okay, so I'm a newbie at this raw food diet thing and really am only going 80-95% raw on an average day. So I was just curious what everyone else's daily diet looked like. Here is mine:

Morning: Juicing or some kind of smoothie
morning snack: lots of fresh fruit
Lunch: greens type salad w/ pine nuts and raw dressing. followed by raw granola and some dried fruit.
afternoon snack: romaine lettuce leaves with almond butter spread in them. yummy!
Dinner: salad again and a little bit of what the family is eating (usually steamed veggies).
Desert: 70% dark chocolate and more granola (I really love that stuff)

I have no idea if this is an ideal raw diet or not, so that's why I'm curious about you guys. ;)

this week it's mostly been

breakfast: 'milk'shake make with hemp seed milk, 2 bananas, cacao powder, tablespoon of coconut oil and a little honey for sweetness. i think this is probably quite high fat, but it gets me through til lunchtime

lunch: fruit salad consisting of 1 banana, 1 apple, 2 clementines, 2 kiwi fruit, half a mango and an orange

afternoon snack of a couple of dates if i feel hungry

dinner: salad - normally with whole head of lettuce, cucumber, sundried tomatoes, cauliflowers, brocolli, and grated carrot with a dressing of some sort

If you feel great with renewed energy and better skin, then it's an ideal raw diet FOR YOU :D

Everyone has different rules which they eat by, as I am discovering. I'm a newbie myself and still figuring things out. My rule of thumb is if I don't feel totally awesome then I'm eating something wrong.

Looks like a great raw day to me - steamed veggies might not have all the lovely enzymes of raw veggies but they're still pretty damn good for you and it's the best way to get your 'cooked food fix'.

My ideal diet for the day is

Breakfast: Large fruit smoothie

Lunch: Mono-meals of fruit

4pm: Juice

Dinner: 2 ounces good fat and large salad

Recently I have tried to introduce raw recipes but they aren't working out for me so I am attempting to return to these choices.

I eat lots of Salads! I love the "three" creations in RFFE!!! Typically I have a Smoothie every day and/or fresh juicing. My kids LOVE Smoothies and RUN to the kitchen when I even turn on the juicer!!!! :D

I do LOVE to create Alissa's wonderful dishes from either book, so I'll have that for dinner with a RAW dessert like the Brownie Sundae (small piece) or Date Nut Torte (which I make with Almonds so that my 12 year Son can eat it (he's allergic to every nut except Almonds...). I fell in LOVE with the Granola from RFFE and try to keep that on hand for snacking. I try to drink water throughout the day, sometimes with Lemon. I just go with the flow of my day!
