Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good dehydrator with stainless steel shelves. I really like the Excalibur 5 tray with Timer but am thrown as I'm worried about BPA's etc so am on the hunt for one with stainless steel trays.

I'd be ordering from the UK.

Thanks for your help!

You can get replacement stainless steel trays for the exclaibur dehydrator. Though I think it would work out really expensive!

BPA is in hard plastics, the mesh of the Excalibur trays are soft and flexible, so they cannot contain any BPA which is used to harden extremely hard plastics.

Specifically, BPA is in plastics coded with #7. You can check the unit to make sure. Some hard plastics do not contain BPA. You really just have to check and make sure. You could probably contact the manufacturer.
